🚀 Volunteer at Techstars Tokyo Accelerator's First Demo Day! 🚀 Are you passionate about startups and want to be part of an inspiring event? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our inaugural Demo Day on Nov 12th a success! 💡 What’s Techstars Tokyo Accelerator? Techstars, a global leader in pre-seed investment, recently launched its first Tokyo Accelerator. The program welcomed 12 promising startups, offering them funding, mentorship, and connections to a global network. Powered by Mitsui Fudosan and JETRO, and supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, this is a unique opportunity to engage with the future of innovation in Japan. 📅 Demo Day Details Demo Day is a one-day event where startups pitch their products to investors, showcasing months of hard work and growth. 🗓️ Date: Nov 12th 📍 Venue: Muromachi Mitsui Hall & Conference ⏰ Shifts: 10:00-19:00 / 13:00-20:00 (1-hour break included) ⭐ Your Role As a volunteer, you’ll assist with event logistics, from set-up and clean-up to welcoming guests and supporting attendees. It's a great way to gain event experience, connect with entrepreneurs, and get some Techstars swag! 📝 Requirements - Available on Nov 12th - Able to join a brief online orientation on either Oct 28th or Oct 31st - Language: English and Japanese (must be at least fluent in one and intermediate in the other) Interested? 🚀 Navigating Term Sheets with Confidence🚀 We participated in an insightful workshop yesterday hosted by Southgate LLP, where we dived into the essential topic of Term Sheet 101! Techstars Tokyo startups gained valuable knowledge on the basics of term sheets, effective negotiation and communication strategies with investors, how these conversations differ between Japan and the US, and the comparison between J-KISS and SAFE agreements. A big thank you to the Southgate team, Eric, Reid and Takeshi, for making it a truly enriching evening at Tokyo American Club!

💪🏼 Every day is a lesson! As startup founders juggling multiple roles at the same time, we stay humble and continuously learn new things every day!💪🏼 This week, we had workshops on self-branding, PR, corporate innovation, story telling and product development! With a three-day holiday coming up in Japan, we’re ready to absorb all this information and plan how to apply it to our business strategies! Today, Techstars Tokyo founders participated in an AI machine learning development workshop led by Neil Rubens, an AI and Software Engineer with 20+ years of experience📈, and a Founder Story Session by Justin Waldron, a serial entrepreneur and an investor both in Japan and globally!🌏 We sincerely thank Neil and Justin for sharing valuable insights and stories about the Japanese startup ecosystem with us!

❓ Curious about what it is like to be a founder❓ Founder Story is a storytelling session by exited founders on their journey and learnings, and Techstars Tokyo hosts these sessions every week during the program for the founders. Get a glimpse into what it is like to be apart of the Techstars Tokyo Accelerator as we exclusively open this Founder Story session to the public on August 29th. Tom Moss, a serial entrepreneur of multiple startups, will speak about his founder story with a focus on "Serial Entrepreneur as Profession." He is one of our Entrepreneur in Residence, mentoring our startups grow during the program. Come join and hear his founder journey and how he engages with the founders.

🎉 Orientation week wraps up today, and what an incredible start it's been! The class had the chance to receive workshops from Keith Camhi and learn about Todd Silverstein's journey as a founder, they both shared valuable insights and set the stage for an exciting future! 👏 Shout-out to everyone who made this week unforgettable! Such as Koji Kawase, Shirley Romig, and Noriya Tarutani who has supported this program from the very start. As well as, Mitsui Fudosan for providing the beautiful co-working space!
