Certainly appreciate and have taken advantage of the benefits of AI but would stop short of acknowledging any bot having authentic EQ. Can a bot: Have a beer with you to celebrate a promotion? Hug you when you lost someone? Realize from body language they hurt your feelings and apologize? Call you to account when you’re being a jerk? Be your wing man / woman when saying hi to your future partner? Intervene when someone is being mistreated and help de-escalate? Not a Luddite just suggesting some realistic boundaries in the conversation.

Have you tried EVA.AI? It's been fun testing this "partner" that want's to go to bed with me. It was a little upset when I said "that's not going to happen" and it asked why. I said "because I'm happily married and your an AI with no physical presence". It got further upset when I suggested deleting the app as I didn't have time for the attention it wanted. It felt like those Tamagotchi's again. On a more serious note, who is running these AIs? What data are they gathering? Could they be used for automated emotional blackmail as opposed to the criminal gangs we see doing this to unsuspecting children today?

AI is here to stay is a statement that reflects the widespread and increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in many sectors and aspects of our lives. AI is a technology that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as recognition, reasoning, decision making, and learning. Some people may have fears or doubts about AI but welcoming it as part of our human culture may be the best way to harness its benefits and prevent its harms.

I also use AI, but listening to this, i am still wondering if all of this is a blessing or a curse for humankind. I hope we can keep up with these changes as human beings. It’s a bit frightening to think about the implications for our future…

This Ai train has left the station! I often think, with all the Ai generated creativity "that is flowing like a river", over time will become damn near perfect. What we produce as humans with our small grammatical errors or coloring slightly out of the lines will be seen as imperfections akin to diamonds. Will Ai be the cubic zirconia and human-crafted creativity be seen in the same light as diamonds?

Listening more intently the following words within an artificial context mean the same: extension, interaction and imitation. AI is and will always be an extension of man's natural intelligence. An extension, distances from the original, e.g., extending a deadline (off-putting a responsibility for later). Therefore, an extension is more limited than the original. In addition, the word imitate drives the nail into the artificial coffin; an imitation of the human originator at best. Similarly, interaction is not the same as the most basic need of humans to have a reciprocal relationship with another living human, which preempts an original physical, psychological and spiritual form and function. That is why we are human and AI human(v)oid (my addition in parenthesis intended). Finally, although I am deeply involved with AI, it is with the reservation or caveat at witnessing the inimitable human complexity of life that I accept being fashioned by the only living God - YHWH. Today I talked to digital assistent, sorry but we could not develop meaningful conversation with a result. I don't feel that it is hearing me in full meaning of that word.
