Can you fry French Fries in cold oil or in room temperature … Why not? The oil is there, the French Fries are there, but the frying does not happen… The oil in order to perform intended function, needs to be heated, so that the intended interactions take place… Similarly, can watching TV or shopping in a mall or eating in expensive restaurants or expensive vacations develop your child to achieve success? The child and parent are present in these situations, but the interactions do not take place. It's similar to trying to fry in cold oil. Your child will achieve success if the 26 success behaviours, as identified by Yancha are developed through structured experiences. Every of the 52 weekends are precious. Are you wasting them? www.Yancha.in #parenting #yancha #mothers #father #school #college #employeeengagement #mentalhealth

Our new Executive Director come to us from... well, us! Teale began her career with AFB as our Program Manager 5 months before the pandemic hit and her contribution to that time cannot be over-stated. Let's get to know her better with a game we call 5 Questions: 1. If you could use magic to do one mundane task for the rest of your life, what would it be? 100% dishes! I love cooking but the clean up is so rough! I have shelved my baking habit for now due to my hatred of the amount of dishes it generates and consistently eat random combinations of food to avoid extra dishes. 2. What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten? So many bugs, which isn't that wild these days. Montana State University, my alma mater, has a strangely strong entomophagy streak which culminates in a "Bug Buffet" every year. MSU Food Service prepares dishes made with insects and hosts a series of interdisciplinary workshops and lectures on the topic. 3. What's your go-to cereal and why? Honey combs because it's my mom's favorite and it never fails to make me nostalgic. 4. What's the most embarrassing song on your phone right now? I have very few songs actually on my phone but something I have saved is a guided meditation. You never know when you need to get centered and take a step back from the chaos of life! 5. What's your most unpopular food opinion? I truly do not understand people who dislike mushrooms and olives. I find that a lot of times people who dislike one also don't care for the other and this is basically a food group for me. Also, my pizza order is pineapple and ham and I will not be shamed for it!

PHILOSOPHY OF SALMON FISH AND SMALL SHARKS For Japanese cuisine, we know that salmon will be more delicious to enjoy if the fish is still alive when it is prepared to be served. It is much more delicious than salmon that has been preserved in ice. That's why fishermen always put the salmon they catch into an artificial pond so that on the way to land the salmon stay alive. However, in reality many salmon die in the artificial pond. How do they get around this? The fishermen put a small shark in the pond. Wonderful! These small sharks 'force' the salmon to keep moving because they don't want to be preyed upon. As a result, the number of salmon that die becomes very small! Silence makes us die! Moving makes us live. Perhaps that is more or less the moral message that we can get from the picture above. What makes us silent? When there are no problems in life and when we are in the comfort zone. Situations like this often make us complacent. So complacent that we do not realize that we have died. Ironic, isn't it? What makes us move? Life's problems, struggles and stresses. When problems arise, our instincts automatically make us act actively and try to overcome all life's struggles. At times like that, we usually remember God and hope in God. Not only that, we become creative, and our potential develops extraordinary! Remember that we will be able to learn a lot in this life not when things are comfortable, but precisely when we face the storms of life That's why be grateful for the 'little sharks' who continue to force us to move and survive! Life's problems are good, because they are what keep us moving…and being resilient. #keepmovingforward
