I argue that no country should allow a minority to dictate the terms of the constitution, as it should reflect the will of the majority. This is a reasonable position, as the purpose of a constitution is to establish a framework for governance that serves the interests of the people as a whole. The Principle of Popular Sovereignty: In a democratic system, the constitution derives its legitimacy from the will of the people. The majority, by virtue of their numerical strength, have a significant role to play in determining the character of the state and the principles that guide its governance.
