This article effectively highlights the significant tectonic shift in nonprofit giving that has been unfolding over time. The impact of this shift has been further magnified by the ongoing COVID period. Middle-class and younger individuals have notably reduced their traditional donations, opting instead for alternative ways of “giving” that are challenging to quantify using conventional metrics. Interestingly, large national nonprofits are now being bypassed in favor of community-based crowdfunding efforts. If I was currently a member of a major nonprofit, I would actively explore partnerships with locally dynamic organizations that serve similar communities. Collaborative efforts could help address this evolving landscape of giving. #nonprofit #fundraising #donors #philanthropy

📢 The Power of a Simple "Thank You" ✨️ In the world of charity and fundraising, there’s one lesson I emphasise to my team above all others: 'Never underestimate the importance of thanking our donors.' Donors are more than financial supporters—they're part of our community, united by a shared belief in our mission. When they give to us, they’re offering their trust, their hard-earned pennies, and their hope that we will turn their generosity into meaningful impact. But what happens if we don't acknowledge that? If their gift disappears into a black void of silence? The connection weakens - probably disappears. A genuine, heartfelt 'thank you' changes everything. It's not just good manners—it's transformative. When we thank our donors, we: Reinforce the relationship: They see themselves as part of our community, not just a source of funds. Highlight their impact: They know their support isn’t just noticed but is making a real difference. Encourage future giving: In my experience, I’ve seen thank-yous spark new donations—proof that appreciation goes a long way. This isn't just about retaining donors; it's about building champions for our cause. A thank-you is as powerful as an ask, and it ensures our supporters feel valued, connected, and inspired. When we thank donors, we’re not just closing the loop—we’re strengthening the bond that keeps our mission alive. To all our wonderful supporters - THANK YOU. You’re the heart of what we do and make everything that we do possible. #Fundraising #DonorRelations #Gratitude #CharityLeadership

Rather than donating separately to different nonprofits and receiving tax receipts from each, you can simplify by giving through The Signatry, then recommending grants to different nonprofits. With your contribution and grant histories recorded in one place, you can refine your family’s giving decisions over time. It can be difficult to remember what causes and nonprofits you focused on in years past. With a donor advised fund, it is easy to evaluate whether you want to invest in the same ministries as last year or change up your acts of generosity. #philanthropy #nonprofit #charitabletrust
