I have been a part of the NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore Fund Committee for a little over a year now. They are an INCREDIBLE resource for Baltimore City & County. Mental health is more important than ever before. I know many organizations that are looking to connect their employees with critical mental health resources. When I get those questions, I direct them to NAMI. They offer among other trainings and resources, corporate workshops designed to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, provide guidance on talking to peers/supervisors, and create conversations about mental health in the workplace. It’s a BIG DAY! 🎉🎊🥳🎈 I have been a HASA board member for 4+ years, it has been an incredible experience and I am SO excited for the future of this organization. To honor our legacy, and set us up for continued growth, we have decided to shift our name to Gateway Maryland to encompass all we do to help our community understand and be understood. While the name is new, the organization has been benefiting the community with impactful work for nearly 100 years! This team has worked tirelessly to serve more than 4,000 children and adults annually with critical services spanning Special Education, Audiology, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Interpreting Services, and Sign Language Classes. The future is BRIGHT at Gateway. Thank you, Erin Lamb and the amazing team at Gateway for getting us to this point of growth!
