Prioritizing disability inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s a smart business move. A new research report from Accenture in partnership with Disability:IN found that over five years of participating in the Disability Equality Index (DEI), companies that led on pivotal disability inclusion criteria boosted revenue by 1.6 times, net income by 2.6 times and economic profit by over two times. In addition to outperforming peers financially, these companies outperformed in productivity by 25 percent. The data is clear: It’s worth investing in disability and neurodivergent inclusive support. The Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) report, shows that NUH staff from ethnic minority backgrounds equates to 26.6% of the workforce, higher than the national average and up from last year. The Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES) report also shows improvements.
