Anise Health, a culturally responsive digital mental health platform building the gold standard of care for people of color, wanted to provide clients with a seamless and HIPAA-compliant way to self-schedule appointments and securely chat with their providers. Since most existing self-scheduling solutions like Calendly weren’t HIPAA-compliant, Anise didn’t want to spend months building their own solution from scratch. In our new case study, learn how Anise has leveraged Tellescope’s API-forward platform to efficiently offer clients a modern self-scheduling and chat experience to enhance their care journey ⬇️⬇️

Part 2 of my learnings from the Forbes Healthcare Summit The top areas that need immediate investment and solutions: Mental health and the remedy of hospitals P&Ls. Mental Health 🌟 The problem: As Jewel stated, “We’re the most technologically advanced that our society has ever been in the history of our species. But we’re killing ourselves at unprecedented rates.” The statistic coming out of the pandemic that 1 out of 4 young adults had considered suicide in the past month highlights the staggering mental health crisis. 📣 The call to action: We need immediate solutions, combining technology and community building. As one example, Jewel’s cofounded company, Innerworld, is trying to solve this not only with providing people with the tools to change their behavior (as Jewel says, “happiness is a learned skill” 😊 ), but also a 24/7 community for people to receive help and feel supported. Hospitals P&Ls 🌟The problem: Post-covid our hospitals are struggling to stay out of the red. The have reduced workforces and the workforce they have, are burned out. While this topic was only briefly touched upon in the sessions, I had many conversations with Executives of hospitals, within the USA and globally, about the current state of affairs. 📣 The call to action: While we’d all love to solve ambitious problems with digital and AI in healthcare focusing on the patient, these come with risks that the FDA and others are still figuring out. However, there is a huge opportunity to leverage AI, LLMs, and ChatGPT-like technology within backend processes to resolve the immediate gap in resources. I encourage you to watch more below! #ForbesHealth

📉 Reducing Client Drop-Offs in Early Therapy Sessions Through Technology 🚀 One of the biggest challenges faced by mental health professionals is client drop-off—especially during the early stages of therapy, when trust and engagement are still developing. This can lead to disrupted care for clients and missed opportunities for practitioners. So, how can we reduce this early-stage attrition? The answer lies in technology. 🔑 Here are a few ways tech can help: 1️⃣ Automated Client Follow-Ups: Early sessions can be overwhelming for clients. With automated reminders, follow-up messages, and engagement nudges, you can help clients stay on track and feel supported outside of sessions. 2️⃣ Personalized Session Summaries: AI-powered tools can generate easy-to-understand summaries of each session, ensuring that clients leave with a clear understanding of key points and goals. This reinforces the session’s impact and encourages clients to continue. 3️⃣ Streamlined Intake Process: Simplifying administrative tasks like forms and assessments before the first session reduces friction and allows therapists to focus on building rapport from day one. 4️⃣ Real-Time Communication: Offering secure, real-time chat options between sessions creates a safe space for clients to ask questions or address concerns without waiting for the next appointment. 5️⃣ Data-Driven Insights: Analytics can help practitioners identify early signs of disengagement or potential drop-off risks, allowing them to take action proactively. By integrating the right tools, mental health professionals can not only improve client retention but also provide a more engaging, supportive, and personalized experience for those in their care. This means fewer drop-offs, more consistent progress, and ultimately, better outcomes for clients.
