IWD2024... As we celebrate the International Women's Day 2024, Theme: "Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress"; the following questions would assure us of the importance given to Nigerian Women and Girls. Are Nigerian Women Voiceless or Without a Voice? Are Women Voices being heard? Is Nigerian Government sensitive to the Voices and plight of Nigerian women? Is this Government/Administration Gender Inclusive? We believe that healthy, educated and empowered women and girls are agents of change. When women and girls are supported, they gain opportunities to speak up for their rights, and are also able to advocate for their communities. They are able to rise in social standing, and they can feed this into future generations. Empowering women and girls is the key to economic growth, political stability and social transformation. ♀️ We’re delighted to share that, as part of the @GSMA’s Connected Women Commitment Initiative, ethio telecom has committed to continue empowering and enabling women in Ethiopia, by pledging to increase the proportion of women in their #MobileInternet and #MobileMoney customer base. 📱 The #MobileGenderGap is not going to close on its own, but we know that with informed, targeted action it is possible to make a real difference.
