I knew #HashiConf2024 was off to a great start right from the pre-event meetup at Boston Harbor. I met Travis - who I later saw join Armon on stage for the keynote - along with ‘Chas’, Sarah, Jose, and Taichi, who quickly became familiar faces throughout the event. And of course, I couldn’t miss Ned in the iconic “It’s Always DNS” shirt! I had some great conversations with Christopher about exciting developments between DNSimple and HashiCorp. It was also fantastic to finally meet Anthony in person after countless online meetings. Shoutout to Camilla, Lays, Anderson, and Amanda for representing Brazil so well abroad, and to Grant and Adam - not only outstanding engineers but also excellent partners on the pool table! ‘Chas’ will take you to the most unexpected (and fun) karaoke spot in Boston! 🎤 Beyond learning about the HashiCorp ecosystem, HashiConf was all about building meaningful connections and alliances. Ned in the Cloud captured it perfectly in his blog: “There is something about the massive scale of those events that feels necessarily impersonal. You are a badge to be scanned. An attendee to be counted. Sheep to be herded around from session to session. Smaller conferences like HashiConf are nothing like that. People know who you are. During the Christmas season, as I reflect on what stood out this fall, one event keeps coming to mind: the Red Hat Summit Connect in Stockholm, where we had the chance to meet with our fantastic customers and partners to share ideas, collaborate, and inspire each other. Among the many highlights, the keynote by Chris Morgan and Burr Sutter truly left an impression! Some of the key takeaways that resonated with me: ⭐ AI for Everyone: With tools like Instruct Lab and Granite models, Red Hat and IBM are enabling businesses to train and fine-tune AI locally, on their terms. Featuring small and specialized models tailored for enterprise use cases, these models can be deployed as scalable services on OpenShift, enabling seamless integration with AI-powered applications. No cloud dependency, no data-sharing concerns, just innovation and control, all powered by open source. ⭐ Hybrid Cloud Consistency: Red Hat’s focus on hybrid cloud ensures businesses can maintain a consistent footprint across edge, cloud, and on-prem environments. This consistency is key to scaling effectively and meeting compliance requirements, all with the flexibility of open-source technology. ⭐ The Power of Automation: Automation platforms like Ansible are transforming infrastructure management by automating deployments, day-two operations, and inference management. It's been a real honor to represent Hostersi, an #AWSPremierPartner, at both the #AWSPartnerSummits and #AWSSummits in London and Berlin. It's been quite an experience! You know, there's something special about being recognized by someone who taps you on the shoulder and asks, 'Are you from the Hostersi team?' It's a validation of the hard work the team puts in and shows that the efforts are noticed and remembered. Once again this year, #AWS managed the event exceptionally well, from the initial announcement to the follow-up. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees contributed significantly to the success of those events. In 2025, my aspiration for #AWS Partners is to encounter the following: Three dedicated stages tailored to partners based on their Partner paths - #Select, #Advanced, #Premier. Why? 1️⃣ To offer #customizedcontent: By categorizing partners into distinct stages, we can deliver training and enablement programs tailored to their specific needs and priorities. 2️⃣ To illuminate the #progressionpath: Let's invite partners on the stage to showcase their journey to advancement within APN, providing valuable insights and advice. 3️⃣ To foster #collaboration: Partners within the same stage can collaborate more effectively, exchanging best practices, insights, and strategies. How about organizing panel discussions between partners? 4️⃣ Optimized #networking time – Within the AWS Event Application, establishing a network of confirmed attendees would be highly beneficial. This allows us to schedule networking sessions and validate the attendee list for potential partnership opportunities, sharing experiences, exploring joint ventures, or simply making connections. Providing this kind of information would also greatly benefit #AWSSummits, enabling #AWSPartners to engage in discussions with attendees on-site.
