Simply put, Labor Day celebrates Americans who labor, appreciating the economic and societal impact of hardworking individuals. It's a day to reflect on the progress made as a result of the American workforce. Celebrated on the first Monday of September every year, Labor Day became a national holiday on June 28, 1894. The decades following the American Civil War were a time of great change in the United States. In the second half of the 19th century, working conditions in railroads, mines, factories, and mills were some of the worst in American history. Poor ventilation, long hours, low pay, dangerous conditions, and child labor were just a few of the concerns of the working class. A labor movement began as a result of poor working conditions at the time. The five-day, 40-hour work week that most Americans experience today didn't become commonplace until the 1940s. So take time today spend time with your family and thank God for all the good things He has blessed us with especially our for the freedom to pursue a career of our choice. Our jobs may not be without their problems and challenges, but we are blessed. I am especially greatful for the employees at our family's companies and pray God's blessings on their families. #LaborDay #Appreciation #AmericanWorkforce

Happy Labor Day! 🌟 Today, we celebrate YOU and all the hard work you put in every single day. Here are three things about Labor Day and why we have it: 1. Honoring Workers: Labor Day was created to honor the American labor movement and the contributions of workers to the prosperity and well-being of our country. That’s right, it’s all about celebrating YOU! 🛠️ 2. A Hard-Earned Break: It’s a day off to recognize the importance of rest and relaxation. You work hard all year long, and today is a reminder that you deserve to take a breather. 🌴 3. Unity and Strength: Labor Day reminds us of the power of unity and the incredible strength that comes from working together. It’s a celebration of our collective achievements and a nod to the future successes we’ll build together. 💪🏾 So, enjoy this special day, take some time for yourself, and reflect on all the amazing things you’ve accomplished. Oh yeah...WE ARE CLOSED😜! (that means you will not hear from me or Team CP today- well maybe just a little- but my couch is calling)! Have a fantastic week ahead, and remember, you are the reason we celebrate today! ✨ How are you spending your Labor Day- I'll be on my couch with a good book! Observed the first Monday in September, Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being. In the spirit of honoring Labor Day, I wanted to share some "light lift" ways to authentically honor your teammates. 1. Begin the week's meetings with sharing an appreciation that highlights a specific and tangible win by your teammate. 2. Recall and share a moment within the last month that you recognized your teammate showing up in a way unique to them that is of high value to your team. 3. Share an appreciation of your teammate with a stakeholder and tell them that you've shared it. It's so important to give people their flowers while they can smell them! Hoping that in this new week you experience joy in the work. Happy Labor Day, friends!

As we celebrate Labor Day, I’m reminded of Steve Jobs' words: "The only way to do great work is to love what you do." This holiday is a tribute to the dedication, hard work, and passion of every worker across the nation. It’s a day to recognize not just the labor itself, but the love and commitment that drives it. When we find joy and purpose in our work, it transforms from a task into a calling. It’s not just about clocking in hours; it’s about making an impact, leaving a legacy, and finding fulfillment in the process. This Labor Day, let’s honor those who are passionate about their work, those who strive for excellence, and those who inspire others to do the same. Here’s to the people who don’t just work hard, but who work with heart. Happy Labor Day! #LaborDay #PassionInWork #LoveWhatYouDo #SMTmethod #SubconsciousMindsetTraining #MindsetAlignment #ExecutiveCoaching
