Improving patient access for life-saving products through point-of-care manufacturing? ⭐️ still a lot of work to be done for “distributed” access for CAR-Ts (median distance travelled by patients in Ottawa is 650km!) ⭐️ leveraging skills - bone marrow transplants and the expertise available at point of care and various hospitals for CAR-T ⭐️ point of care manufacturing and care may look different in different jurisdictions - different regulations, different labour costs and expertise, different existing infrastructure. What it will look like in Brazil and India vs US and Europe would be different. (E.g. mobile clean rooms like Germfree in Brazil for distributed manufacturing).
