Let’s meet another of our 2024 Digital Revolution Awards winners! 🏆 We caught up with Michael C Skurla, Chief Product Officer at Radix IoT, to hear about the project that paved the way for their Global Digital Transformation Project of the Year win. The project enabled a daily delivery of 120 million liters of safe drinking water to the City of Mbombela’s 450,000 residents, saving up to 100 working hours every week, lowering fuel costs, and minimizing wear and tear on company vehicles—which no longer need to drive up to 80 kilometers each way to monitor multiple sites. A truly incredible outcome and a well-deserved win! ✨ https://lnkd.in/eiW_3dEt #DigitalRevAwards2024

Did you know that water suppliers also benefit from #SmartTechnology?💡 💧CILE manages and delivers water infrastructure for 24 cities and villages near Liège. To make this more efficient, NTT DATA Inc. worked on digital watermeters with LoRaWan sensors and a smart system to detect leaks immediately with IoT. The meters communicate with each other and CILE receives the information from a distance. This way, they don't discover a leak weeks later or have to observe frequently to check if everything is still working properly. ✅CILE is happy with how the project turned out: ‘We consider digitalisation as a lever for operational optimisation. The algorithms provide for smart decisions in the purchase of energy, the leak detection, maintenance forecasting, fraud detection or sanitary safety. Moreover, we can digitally record water levels allowing us to reduce the margin of error and save costs.’ Read the #CaseStudy: https://bit.ly/3QyJNlp #NTTDATABelgium #Network

A recent survey shows that only 24% of the global workforce is confident in working with data. Enterprise data spans areas from product development to environmental measurements but consolidating and maximizing its potential can be challenging. Sustainability reporting, for example, often suffers from errors due to manual data handling. IoT frameworks offer a structure for collecting, standardizing, and processing data. By integrating with IT/OT systems, they offer a comprehensive view of enterprise data, accelerating the transition into a data-driven organization.
