meriSTEM@NIE is excited to partner with The Head Foundation, Temasek Foundation, Caterpillar Foundation and Prestasi Junior Indonesia in the STEM teacher capacity building programme for 110 teachers in Riau Island and 50 teachers in Bogor, Indonesia. The teacher participants suggested interesting ideas for problem-centric integrated STEM lessons with "T" as the emphasis in the STEM curriculum to develop students' digital literacy. Many of these ideas are culturally relevant. Perhaps a fourth centricity of the S-T-E-M Quartet can be "Culture-Centric"! #TheHeadFoundation

This sounds like a wonderful teacher development program and I could not agree more with you! Culturally sustaining pedagogies need to go hand in hand with STEM education! That’s how we can have maximum impact on student learning and engagement.
