Thank you to everyone who attended The Great Debate in Aberdeen last night, especially our fantastic panel Adam Ezzamel, David McMillan, Carolyn Heeps, Mark Finch, Laura Finlay and Richard Copeland. We took a chance with this new format and the whole evening was a huge success. A packed venue with respect for all the views, but some lively interaction from the audience with some challenging questions for our panel. There was no clear answer to the question "Is there a commercial future to floating offshore wind" but one thing was clear, the future of our industry and the people who could make it happen were all in the room last night. Now on to the Floating Offshore Wind conference, looking forward to a busy day meeting more colleagues and continuing the discussions. Here at Ternan Energy we have recently wrapped up an inspiring team day filled with learning and camaraderie. Some of the highlights of the day included mapping out our ambitious plans for the future and strategies to drive sustainable growth. The team were also treated to a fantastic guest speaker who gave us valuable insights into neurodiversity in the workplace. In the afternoon, we visited Rampion wind farm to see renewable energy in action. Then, we capped off the day with a delicious dinner, drinks and lively discussions as we reflected on our achievements so far this year. Mark Finch, Managing Director said "Days like these remind us why we love what we do. It was great to get the team together as we are usually spread out across the UK and beyond. Mark Finch and Euan Marjoribanks are taking part in a charity golf day, along with Lee Senoussi from Copenhagen Offshore Partners and Frazer H. from Kiloh Associates. Organised by the Friends of Borders General Hospital, the aim today is to raise enough money to buy 2 bilimeter devices which are used to check jaundice in newborn babies. With these devices spread around the Borders community districts, it saves parents having to return to hospitals far away when they can be seen by a nurse in their community. A further 3 will be purchased with other fundraising efforts, at £2,000 per device.
