Our work on Hugh and Kiki's 200 year old Cornish home perfectly reflects this philosophy. Yet, like many period properties, it faced the common issue of heat loss, especially through its original sash windows and multiple casement windows. We installed Cosy Glazing, a secondary glazing solution that’s as discreet as effective. Cosy Glazing keeps the home's original look intact, allowing Hugh and Kiki to enjoy a warmer, more energy-efficient space without sacrificing any of its character. For Hugh and Kiki, this upgrade wasn’t about a quick fix; it was a long-term investment in comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. Now, they experience significant reductions in heat loss and a noticeable drop in energy costs while still enjoying the aesthetic they fell in love with. Our interventions included: 🔸 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 to make them uniform at 150mm. 🔸 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐬 for better visibility and safety. 🔸 Installing a 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥.
