Q: Where to find antelopes in Bandhavgarh ? Ans: Nilgai (Blue cow / bull) is the most common large antelope whose sighting is common in Madhya Pradesh national park. They have good presence in Bandhavgarh. Similarly Indian Gazelle (Chinkara) is also having good presence in Bandhavgarh national park but during jungle safaris, most we don't see them or rarely find the Nilgai but Chinkara often remains away from sight. It is common experience. Reason behind this experience is our tiger centric approach which we book only high tiger density zones. Nilgai sighting is good in Magadhi zone (occasional), Dhamokhar zone (frequently) and Panpatha zone (frequently). For Indian Gazelle (Chinkara) sighting, we have to take a short tour on village outskirts of Guruwahi and Kuchwahi area. It is said that vegetation of this patch is liked by Chinkara thus they are often seen in this areas. #bandhavgarh #antelopes #nilgai #chinkara #safari #magadhi #dhamokhar The Cabs The Holidays Sunil Kumar Dubey Phil Cowie IATO Indian Association of Tour Operators Madhya Pradesh Tourism #indusexcursion

General Manager, Rakkh Resort-Radisson Individuals Retreats | ex-Goldman Sachs | Chartered Accountant (AIR 33)
Our guests at Rakkh Resort - A Member of Radisson Individuals Retreats do sometimes confuse the name with "Rakh" as in ashes in Hindi and wonder why would we name it such :) ‘Rakha’ in Pahari means hill-top which is where Rakkh is located. Also, ‘Rabb rakha’ is a famous and hearty #blessing (may god keep you well), from the planes of #Punjab which has considerable influence on the life and culture of #Himachal. That's what went into consideration in calling the mountain paradise as Rakkh. Rakh, incidentally, is the #village close by (which, as per a story from elders in the area, got it's name after being cursed to be turned into ashes by a sage/godmen for being refused alms). Fingers Crossed!! Rakh is inhabited by people from Gaddi tribe who moved years ago along with their herds of domestic animals from upper region of #Himalayas due to harsh climatic conditions, rugged terrain and limited survival resources in search of green meadows and good pasture. More here- https://lnkd.in/g5_w8ejB It's a lovely #experience to meet and hear their #stories while on a guided #village walk through Rakkh Resort. #india #travel #culture #hospitality #community #tourism

Exploring the Untold Marvels of Badami – Where History and Adventure Meet It’s incredible how mainstream destinations like Hampi tend to steal the spotlight, but let me tell you, the Badami-Aihole-Pattadakal belt is an absolute gem waiting to be explored. Last time I visited Badami, I was completely mesmerized by the intricate details, especially of the sculptures in the temples of Pattadakal. Every carving told a story. And a short drive away, Ilkal is where I saw masterful saree weaving in action—a traditional art that’s both inspiring and humbling. What fascinates me most about Badami, Aihole, and Pattadakal is that they were once the school, college, and playground for architectural experimentation. The creativity and craftsmanship here laid the foundation for what we admire in temples across India today. I’m heading back next week, and this time I might even try my hand at rock climbing in the sandstone cliffs. Why just look when you can experience? For those who haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out. Badami isn’t just about history—it’s an adventure, a discovery. And if you’re wondering where to stay, Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited Banashree Badami offers the perfect base. Tucked away in the heart of this heritage zone, this pet-friendly resort has 23 huge cottages and rooms nestled amidst 10 acres of coconut, mango, and neem groves, blending comfort with local charm. Trust me, there’s no better way to immerse yourself in this unique destination. Don’t wait until everyone else has been there—discover Badami before it becomes the next big thing. #TravelDiaries #Badami #HeritageAndAdventure #SterlingHolidays #WorkLifeBalance

Nepal Insights | Travel Designer | Specialist in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet & North India | Filming in Nepal 🌏🎬⛰
This is a Ferris Wheel. Yes, you heard that right! In the clip below, you're witnessing the most authentic form of a Ferris wheel. This could be how the idea of the "Ferris Wheel" as we know it today—those giant wheels in amusement parks worldwide—first came to life. In Nepal, you can still find these traditional wheels, especially during Dashain and Tihar (Nepal's biggest festivals). Locally known as "Roteping," these manually operated wooden wheels are more than just a fun ride—they are a symbol of community, celebration, and tradition. Passed down through generations, Rote Ping embodies the simplicity and resourcefulness of village life. Families and children gather around to experience this nostalgic, hand-spun joy, reminding us of the deep-rooted connection between festivals and the local craftsmanship that brings these rides to life. Visiting Nepal, as I've said before, is like stepping into a time machine. This clip is just one of many unique experiences that make Nepal and its offerings stand out from the rest of the world. So, how many of you have Nepal on your bucket list? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below! ......... ♻️ Repost to share your love for Nepal. ⬆️ Follow for more unique insights to this incredible destination in the Himalayas. #Festivals #TravelNepal #Mountains #Culture #Tourism #Authenticity #Nostalgia #VisitNepal #Sunset #Entertainment
