Terran Orbital Corporation received the certificate of occupancy for its previously announced new assembly facility, located at 4 Goodyear in Irvine, CA. The facility spans 94,000 square feet and is situated on a five-acre site. Upon final interior completion of construction and outfitting, Terran Orbital’s space vehicle assembly, integration, and testing capabilities will significantly increase by over 3x of the Company’s current capacity. All of the Company’s space vehicle assembly will be transitioned to this new facility, enabling the dedication of Terran Orbital’s existing facilities to manufacturing components and modules. This optimization will increase the overall efficiency and capacity of Terran Orbital’s entire production system and further facilitate the Company’s vertical integration efforts. We're neighbors! Congratulations to the Terran Orbital Corporation on it's new facility.
I obtained my doctorate in Astrophysics from the University of California, Irvine in Irvine, CA. Nice town.
This is an exciting example of what can happen when people realize the potential of space
Interesting
Hell-yeah! Going Vertical is the best way to help rebuild American dominance and control in the Aerospace sector.
Very nice! Just 20-minutes from my house, so I'll need to drive by and check it out. 😁 Congratulations, Terran Orbital Corporation Team!

2moI worked at 4 Goodyear from 1991-2015. The original building was built and given to Racal-Dana by the Irvine Company, who wanted the land they were previously occupying near the airport. Many electronic test systems were built at this site and the building across the street, notably >1000 production test systems for Intel. Glad to see a new modern building at the site, and looking forward to Terran Orbital making lots of satellites there! Chris Relf Greg RileyCharles GreenbergJames Mulato
