The announcement of the Sydney Startup Hub's relocation to Tech Central in late 2025 marks a significant shift in fostering innovation and collaboration in NSW. While we have a head office in Canberra, Hide and Seek Digital has been steadily growing our presence in Sydney, with part of our team already on the ground and new opportunities on the horizon. The move to Tech Central opens up fresh opportunities for startups and scale-ups to tap into Sydney’s thriving tech ecosystem. Interesting research published from MIT Sloan School of Management has shown the important link between knowledge spillover and physical proximity. For months, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect location in Bucharest. But here’s the truth: It can’t be small. It can’t be ordinary. It has to be... iconic! ➡️ What Am I Looking For, Exactly? A wonderful space with history. Soul. And character! Around 10,000 sqm. Ideally, a former factory or a historic landmark located in the heart of the city... Easy? Not really. But I’m not in a rush. Because for this vision, only perfection will do. ➡️ My Inspiration: Station F Imagine 50,000 sqm of creativity, innovation, and ambition. In a published research by MIT Sloan School of Management, they found that startups working in a coworking space within 20 meters of each other had a 2.5% increase in probability of adopting the same technology used by another startup working close by. This is due to knowledge spillover, which is the transmission of ideas among different teams or groups of people. Interestingly, more knowledge spillover occurs when the startups had two different product markets compared to startups with similar product markets! Columbus is about to get a major tech infusion. Rev1 Ventures the The Ohio State University, and the City of Columbus announced last week plans to create Ohio’s two newest innovation destinations: a software startup space in downtown Columbus and a life sciences facility at the Carmenton district. Downtown 'Software Alley' to Occupy Two Floors at The Peninsula The downtown initiative, dubbed "Software Alley," will occupy two floors in The Peninsula office building, marking a significant expansion of Columbus's startup infrastructure. Rev1 Ventures will relocate its headquarters to the space, which will feature offices, coworking areas, event facilities, and meeting rooms for its entrepreneurial training programs.
