7moWith a digital governance framework, the client has the means to 'opening' the framework to a minimum of one (1) line of defense (some call this one line of assurance), however this could be geared up to three (3), or even up to 32-lines of defense. The codes of governance used in South Africa currently make recommendations for listed and government organisations to use 6-lines of defense, however, with agile, fast-paced boards within a high-risk environment, others have increased their defense and assurance levels to 32 lines of defense!
