I am thrilled to announce the publication of my co-first author research paper, titled “Evidence for the involvement of keratinocyte-derived microvesicle particles in the photosensitivity associated with xeroderma pigmentosum type A deficiency” in the journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology. Our study delves into the intricacies of XPA deficiency, uncovering crucial insights into the role of keratinocytes-derived microvesicle particles (MVP) in the associated photosensitivity. By investigating the roles of platelet-activating factor (PAF) and acid sphingomyelinase (aSMase) in triggering MVP release, our research sheds light on promising therapeutic targets for XPA-related photosensitivity.
