Why you should hire a mountain biker: Mountain bikers are a great hire for just about every organization for a few reasons as follows: We like a challenge and take pride in overcoming increasingly difficult challenges. When we use the word session, it refers to working on a problem area repeatedly until we get it right (not day drinking). We are always optimizing and looking for improvement. We understand the need for risk. We understand that sometimes you need to go fast and sometimes you need to go slow, but we're always seeking to find the balance that doesn't result in disaster. With that said, Hap has a list of mountain bikers that are passionate employees as well and they unexpectedly need a new place to session challenges. You'd be doing yourself a favor in hiring someone he recommends. (A couple more for bike industry employees) They know that everything is a balancing act and are constantly looking to optimize the product for best result. They are very familiar with building for competing priorities (hardcore races and journalists v. everyday riders) and know how to offer the best of both worlds. Hap Seliga
As a follow up to my last post, I am pleased to share that we have completed an Open to Work list for this amazing team. A strong culture is critical to the success of any business. Culture is built on trust – building trust with your customer, trust with your partners, and trust with each other. It is about each person’s actions not just words on a page; leadership not micromanagement; ownership, accountability and integrity. At the end of the day, life is about relationships, and those must be nurtured through support, kindness and “doing the right thing.” This team crushed its goals because they lived these ideals day-in and day-out. This team was a once-in-a-lifetime group of people that came together to work towards a vision. Sure, each of these folks is among the best at what they do, but what makes them extra special is that each is wired to build trust. They are incredible humans. They will bring this to your culture.
