These are earrings I bought at Uluru in 2023. When I wear them, I carry the story of Women’s Dreaming and the Mina Mina Jukurrpa. This story dangles from my ears every time I venture out in these showstoppers. It tells the story of a journey where a group of Indigenous women searched for a sacred vine called, ‘ngalyyipi’, while gathering food and performing traditional ceremonies, including dancing. When the women danced at Mina Mina, apparently, they created a large dust cloud that swept up the ‘walyankarna’ (snake ancestors). That must have been a site to behold. Visiting Uluru was a bucket list dream come true for me. While there, I learnt many things about the traditional custodians of this land. For example, did you know that not all Indigenous people play the Didgeridoo? It is played by the people of the Kimberley and Arnhem Land. And Didgeridoo is a rhythm, not the actual Indigenous name of the instrument! Last week, as part of NAIDOC Week, I learnt something new again. RPS invited Acknowledge This! to deliver a workshop on crafting a meaningful Acknowledgement of Country, with insights from the amazing facilitators Rhys Paddick and Emma Gibbens. The biggest takeaways: 💡 Make your Acknowledgement of Country authentic to you, 💡 Deliver it from the heart, not from a pre-determined script; and 💡 Present an Acknowledgement of Country that connects people and place, thinking about what binds us all together. The next time I deliver an Acknowledgement of Country, I’ll think about stories like that of the Mina Mina Jukurrpa, and my own ancestors who come from a rich culture, and how we now all live, work, and play on the lands of traditional custodians. #Indigenousculture #AcknowledgementofCountry #Australia #NAIDOCWeek #TradionalCustodians #learnandgrow #lifelonglearning

✨ Celebrating Navaratri: A Time for Reflection, Growth, and Strength ✨ As we embark on the vibrant and spirited journey of Navaratri, it's not just a festival of colors, dance, and devotion—it’s also a celebration of inner strength, resilience, and transformation. Each day of Navaratri symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and wisdom over ignorance. It’s a reminder that the challenges we face, whether in life or work, are opportunities for growth. Just like the Goddess in her many forms, we too have the power to rise, adapt, and conquer. In the fast-paced world of business, we often forget to pause and celebrate the small victories, the personal battles won, and the progress made. This Navaratri, let’s take a moment to honor not just professional success, but also the perseverance, determination, and values that drive us forward. Wishing everyone a joyous Navaratri filled with strength, positivity, and new beginnings. Let’s celebrate the spirit of growth—within ourselves, our teams, and the world around us. #Navaratri2024 #FestivalOfStrength #NewBeginnings #CelebrateGrowth #PositiveVibes

Day 09: Celebrate Success 🎉🌟 As we come to the end of our Navaratri journey, let’s take a moment to celebrate our successes—big or small! Recognizing what we’ve achieved is a wonderful way to boost our motivation and remind ourselves of our growth. Why Celebrating Success is Important: Feel Good About Your Journey: Each step we take deserves recognition. Celebrating our wins helps us appreciate how far we’ve come. Stay Motivated: When we acknowledge our accomplishments, it fuels our determination to keep going and strive for even more. Share the Joy: Celebrating together creates a sense of community. When we share our successes, we inspire and uplift those around us. Build Confidence: Remembering our achievements reminds us of our strength and capability, boosting our confidence for future challenges. Today, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve accomplished during this special time. What’s one success you’re proud of? Share it and let’s celebrate together! 🙌💖 #CelebrateSuccess #Navaratri #Motivation #Growth #Inspiration

During my recent trip to the Northern Territory, I was reminiscing about a previous trip to Uluru and one of my past reflections on data. Insights are not universal—they’re deeply personal, shaped by our unique life experiences, culture, education, and background. Leroy, our guide at Uluru, shared how First Nations Australians interpret the stars for insights like knowing when the emu's belly is full with eggs or when it’s the right time to fish. For many non-Indigenous Australians, the same stars might represent constellations or star signs. This was a powerful reminder that even when we’re presented with the same 'data,' we can see something different - we don’t all have the same insights. In our work with data, this means involving others in the conversation. Different perspectives help us pull out a broader range of insights, ensuring that the actions we take are based on well-rounded, thoughtful analysis. When we rely on collective insights, we’re not just making decisions based on one point of view that is biased—we're making better, more informed decisions together. #uluru #data #insights #datastorytelling #reflectionsondata (And yay for great leaders who become great friends and travel buddies Joanne Alford )

Meeting people face to face and not just virtually makes a difference. And it doesn’t have to be done sitting down. Sometimes a ”walk and talk”can be a better option. Or why not ”run and talk”? Have you tried a walk and talk or running meeting? What are your experiences? #walkandtalk #runandtalk #health
Hi All, Today I had the honour and privilege to run 🏃♀️ 🏃 🏃♂️ side by side with our Business Director Middle East Africa & West Asia. For today's Motivational Monday, I bring you the Indigenous Rarámuri Women. Wearing traditional huaraches and sandals, six indigenous women from the Rarámuri community of Chihuahua ran in relays approximately 340 miles between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The six Rarámuri women completed “The Speed Project” marathon in 52 hours and 22 minutes in Las Vegas. The race, which is by invitation only, starts at the Santa Monica Pier and ends at the Las Vegas welcome sign. Veronica Palma, Ulisa Fuentes, Lucia Nava, Rosa Parra, Argelia Orpinel, and Lucia Nava took third place in the marathon. Each runner completed 35 miles without stopping, day and night. Lucia Nava, in particular, ran the marathon relay just three months after giving birth. The six Rarámuri women answered the invitation and came down from the mountains of Chihuahua Native to northern Mexico, in the state of Chihuahua, the Rarámuri settled 15,000 years ago in the western Sierra Madre. Since colonial times, they have used the protection of the mountains to preserve their culture and traditions, including running. This tradition stems from the surrounding ecologically harsh environment. However, for hundreds of years, Rarámuri men and women have competed in uninterrupted day and night running distances of more than 200 km. So what are you waiting for? Either you run the day or the day runs you. #genius #geniusiscommon #whatisyourwhy #leadership #diversity #belonging #positiveintelligence #MotivationalMonday https://wix.to/zRW9tG3
