What is integration? My work is connected to integration, as for me, integration may go fare bexond obvious things. Integration is not just about settling in a new place, finding a doctor, learning the language, and getting a job. While these are important, there is a deeper and less obvious aspect that affects our sense of well-being: the ability to accept, embrace, and genuinely engage with the customs specific to that place. Today, I met a local legend known to everyone who occasionally swims in Galway. Paddy is a middle-aged, fit, and friendly man. When I learned he swims year-round and has organized swims since 1979, I was so impressed that my natural curiosity faded, and I hesitated to ask his age. Yesterday was a full moon, called a Super Moon here, and this morning there was a strong high tide, so powerful that ocean waves nearly reached the windows of passing cars. Despite the stormy ocean, the locals have continued their usual routine, diving into the cold water for 5+ minutes to "start" their day. When I entered the water, which might have seemed a bit dangerous to some, I felt such a connection with the other swimmers that my body relaxed, and I hardly noticed the water temperature was only 11°C and my 10 min passed like a minute. I may not yet have my own home in Ireland or the financial stability I had in Ukraine, but this doesn't prevent me from enjoying life and feeling a deep connection with those who have lived here for a long time. We share common interests that unite us. In the context of nonviolent communication, which helps us understand each other better, this is a need we call "shared reality." This is what I mean by integration.

Amidst the complexities of the rapidly evolving global landscape, continued cooperation between the two regions is crucial for promoting sustainable and inclusive energy transitions. From a macro perspective, it is undeniable that China stands as Africa's foremost commercial partner," Jeremy Stevens, Chief Economist at Standard Bank Group, told us in an exclusive interview. The 2024 Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is being held in Beijing from September 4th to 6th. Themed "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future," China and Africa will gather to renew friendships, exchange views on cooperation, and envision the future. "It is paramount that African nations find ways to collaborate with Chinese enterprises to achieve economic industrialization, modernization, and diversification," said Jeremy Stevens.
