Many of my fellow founders have heard the concept of Wartime vs Peacetime CEO. It was a concept brought to light years ago by Ben Horowitz at Andreessen Horowitz. W3 exists because visionary entrepreneurs hit ceilings, need support, and often struggle to find and develop the right leaders to break through those ceilings. Bringing a passion to connect Veterans with small business owners, I saw opportunity to help small businesses grow high caliber talent from outside traditional pipelines and for Veterans to access a substantial sector of the job market that many have struggled to succeed within. Having spent significant time on both side of the hiring (and consulting) table over the last 10 years, I've figured out how to get these two groups to have the right conversations, implement the right development plans, and set the right long term cadence to drive success. Along the path, I stumbled upon the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and the Rocket Fuel Visionary/Integrator leadership concept and immediately recognized parallels with my Marine Corps operational experience. After honing my own EOS skillset and credibility, I eventually hit my own time capacity ceiling and decided it was time to scale. Expanding the reach to proven leaders of all backgrounds, W3 will continue helping Veterans grow within a bigger ecosystem of entrepreneurs and developing Integrators. W3 identified a gap in the development pipeline for newly minted integrators, whether promoted from within and new to the executive ranks, or recruited with executive experience but new to EOS, there has been no great next step for getting started and honing the Integrator craft.
