One of Brex's values when me and Yutong worked there was to “inspire customer love.” I only really understood this after we started Accend (YC S23) - how paying attention to the smallest sign of what delights can inform our roadmap and help them get more value out of our product. That’s now our core focus. Our product is entirely modeled on how humans would do manual reviews during business onboarding. For example: We produce highly accurate industry classification codes for every business — ranging from NAICS codes to SIC codes to NACE, and even MCC codes We also customize our models for each customer and the list of industries they can support to align with their specific risk appetite. This helps us have 90%+ accuracy on industry risk scoring — a performance that’s unparalleled in the industry. An example of this in action: one of our neobank customers ran thousands of businesses through Accend that they had previously onboarded. Through our industry risk scoring product, they were able to decide whether to keep working with risky customers or to offboard them completely. The fact they could use Accend not only to onboard new customers but also temperature check their entire history of decisions was a real moment of inspiring customer love for that neobank. And for us, the best feeling to be able to help them course-correct past misjudgements.

What's your Rapido OTP?! Have you noticed that your Rapido OTP never changes (unlike that of Uber or Ola)? 🤔 As a consumer do you like or dislike this feature? What if, in reality, this was a bug but not a feature? 🎓 So, a friend of mine pointed it out what a brilliant feature it is as it helped him not rely on his phone to tell the OTP. In a situation where his phone battery is about to die and he is already worried about the cab location 😰, he didn't want to worry about OTP as well. And this helped him not worry about the OTP at all. On this note, he debated that this is a genius 'Feature'. 🐞 But, I think it was a bug/miss from the team. And is now brilliantly running as a feature providing an unintended user convenience. Hear me out. There are only 4 digits for the OTP. That means a maximum of 10,000 unique OTPs can be assigned. And Rapido has roughly 100k users in a city. That means 10 users per 1 unique OTP. This is some tough math for a PM to be able to get it approved as a feature (especially when some clever engineer must be there in the team 👀). ✅ Hence, I believe this was overlooked at the beginning of the company, and when the company scaled they observed the actual convenience users have with just 1 constant OTP. What do you think: is it a feature or a bug? Would be great if someone from the Rapido team could shed light on the same! Thinking to do more such BugOrFeature cases :)

Often it’s the small things that become your delighters. Rapido has one feature, which at first, you might think is a bug. It's not. Rapido has a unique PIN for each user that remains the same for every ride. And in my opinion, it’s the most simple yet the most powerful feature. In fact, I find myself choosing Rapido whenever I book a ride for my parents. It saves all the OTP hassles. It solves real user pain points: The cognitive load of remembering different codes, the hassle of communicating OTPs to family members/friends, and the anxiety of a dying phone battery. Rapido turned a security measure into a user delight. That's product thinking at its finest. As product builders, our job isn't just to add features. It's to solve problems. And sometimes, less is more. Have you folks noticed any 'simple yet powerful' features?
