Which comes first: the egg or the chicken? 🐓 🐣 This is undoubtedly one of the most clichéd titles when talking about electric vehicle and charging infrastructure. And for good reason. Anyone who has worked in this field for more than a day has encountered this existential question. And honestly, no one wants to hear about it anymore. But here we are, talking about it one more time — and I hope it’s the last. The question, despite being clichéd, is genuine. What should come first: the electric car or the chargers? Should we invest in infrastructure before we have the cars, or should we wait for the vehicles to create the demand for charging? After many discussions, I still haven’t found a fully satisfactory answer to this dilemma. But I have an opinion: IT DOESN`T REALLY MATTER; both options are correct. If we have more chargers, we’ll have more electric cars. Likewise, if we have more electric cars, the need for more chargers will become clear. So, instead of wasting time discussing chickens and eggs, let’s focus on getting both the cars and chargers on the streets. The shift to electric mobility won’t wait for endless debates. Let’s take action! #ElectricVehicles #ChargingInfrastructure #EVCharging #SustainableMobility #GreenTransport StarCharge WEG ABB Alpitronic Autel Energy IONITY IONNA Fastned Allego EVgo Electrify America Powerdot

Could Going Hybrid be the Answer to Better Batteries? I’ve been saying for some time that the climate movement has made a major tactical mistake by demanding purity in its approach. Rather than embrace hybrid cars as a more environmental-friendly bridge to full EVs, it has attempted to “force” EVs on the market. That strategy has proven faulty because the groundwork required to gain market acceptance hasn’t been laid, and will take many more years to achieve. In my opinion, zealousness has trumped pragmatism, and it has created unnecessary headwinds. Using a hybrid as a bridge isn’t only a viable strategy for EVs. Check out today’s post to see how battery technology is also benefiting from the approach, and who is advancing the technology. #evs #electricvehicles #evbatteries #solidstatebattery #solidstate #batterytechnology #hybrids #hybrid

CLEAN ENERGY IS LIKE IMPROV COMEDY The principle of "Yes, and..." in improvisational comedy mirrors the collaborative spirit needed in the transition to clean energy. Just like performers accept and build on each other's ideas, Washington State must embrace both Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCVs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) to achieve zero emission transportation goals. The debate between the two technologies is outdated; the future lies in a dual approach. FCVs excel in fast refueling and long driving ranges, making them suitable for applications like long haul trucking and buses. They are also less impacted by cold weather compared to BEVs. However, the energy-intensive production and distribution of hydrogen pose challenges, hindering FCV adoption. On the other hand, BEVs benefit from existing charging infrastructure and low maintenance needs, making them ideal for personal use and short commutes. Yet, environmental concerns arise from the mining of materials for BEV production. While urban areas have well-developed charging networks, rural areas face infrastructural limitations. The increase in unmet demand for energy production in Washington State is not a joke. To address Washington State's energy needs effectively, a unified approach embracing both technologies is crucial. Leaders should foster collaboration and teamwork, following the "Yes, and..." philosophy to drive innovation and sustainable progress. #CleanEnergy #Innovation #Collaboration

Can you explain the pride in producing or developing a 12-15% efficiency engine ?? Joining hands for a good cause , let’s hope they can surpass the efficiency of an electric vehicle because electric vehicles’ “batteries” will become a burden too heavy for earth to take up. #energyefficiency #engine #ev #evbatteries #sustainable ? #hybridtechnologies
