Is it even possible to fit a decade of operating the spot(s); the highs, the lows & everything in-between into a 3ish min video? If you wanna watch it then there’s a lil’ bit of a back story as to what led to GG and a lil’ synopsis of our decade in the trade. If you wanna skip it then the long and the short of it is - thank you to all that have supported GG since day one and every day since! A shout-out to Steph whose been holding me down since day dot, our exec chef (who likes to stay out of any media focus) but without our teamwork GG wouldn’t be where it’s at. Period. We met working together nearly 20 years ago where she was never afraid to give me shit, which she still does today and I wouldn’t have it any other way x There’s way too many peeps to mention; current & past staff and many others that have had a hand in GG’s success, for you all I am eternally grateful. Also just want to acknowledge my little fam who have been a North Star during all the trials and tribulations. Lastly a quote from Adam Grant that hits hard! “Making progress isn’t always about moving forward. Sometimes it’s about bouncing back. Progress is not only reflected in the peaks you reach - it’s also visible in the valleys you cross. Resilience is a form of growth”. #owneroperator #10years #hospitality #hospitalityindustry #multisite

My fiancee Anastassia Turkina and I kicked off the new year with the DEFRest, which has helped us bring our discipline to the new level, and we're committed to maintaining it throughout the year. One of the my favorite insights from this journey has been the power of gratitude. Taking time each day to express appreciation to those who have positively impacted our lives, whether personally or professionally, has been so valuable. Also, we had recently completed a follow-up course "How To Develop Discipline" by Jocko Willink & Leif Babin. Their approach resonates with us. We both love the simple and clear explanations that get straight to the point. Here are the key takeaways: Self-discipline is non-negotiable: Honesty is paramount. If we fall short of our goals, it's crucial not to deceive ourselves with excuses. Instead, acknowledge the reality, adjust, and come back stronger. Maintaining focus: Sometimes, we may steer off track from our strategic objectives. In such instances, setting tactical goals helps realign our efforts towards achieving the longer term goals we aim for. Professionalism: Valuing and respecting the time of our colleagues is essential. Being prepared and maintaining a high level of professionalism breeds trust and collaboration. We've embracing the mantra of Discipline = Freedom. To continue on this path, we’ve started the Lent this week and will stay away from sugar and alcohol till Easter. #DEFRest #DisciplineEqualsFreedom #Gratitude

Inspiring Encounters at the Flea Market: A Glimpse into the Life of a Sales Pro and Dad of Twins Hey everyone! 👋 I wanted to share a heartwarming encounter I had recently at my popup stall in the D2C Challenge of Mesa School of Business's flea market. It's amazing how these events can bring people together, and sometimes, you meet someone who leaves a lasting impression. A gentleman named Ashwini stopped by my stall, and we struck up a conversation. Turns out, Ashwini comes from a sales background and is currently managing a high-pressure job. What really caught my attention, though, was when he shared that he's also a proud father of twin daughters. As we chatted, Ashwini spoke fondly about the challenges and joys of raising twins. He mentioned how every day brings something new and how he and his wife work together as a team to provide the best upbringing for their little ones. One thing that really stood out in our conversation was when Ashwini talked about how the smiles of his daughters have this magical power to wash away the stresses of his workday. It's incredible how the innocence and pure joy of children can have such a profound impact on our lives. Listening to Ashwini, I couldn't help but be inspired by his dedication to both his career and his family. It's not always easy, but he approaches it with grace and love. This encounter reminded me of the importance of cherishing the little moments and finding joy in the midst of our busy lives. It's a lesson we can all take to heart, no matter what our circumstances may be. Have you ever had a similar encounter that left you feeling inspired? I'd love to hear about it! Let's spread some positivity and share stories of the wonderful people we meet along the way. 🌟 #InspiringEncounters #FleaMarketFinds #FamilyLove #LifeLessons #PositivityPost

Sometimes, the conversation with a stranger feels like you have known them forever. Then when the conversation is over, you sometimes know you will never see them again. But that is okay, you both are better from the conversation. #friends #SuicideAwareness #CAAMP #aslinbeerco #bebetter #mentalhealthmatters https://lnkd.in/eAsJCTv2
