TOP TIP: Just putting this out there for recruiters as fairly sure they need to see it…. If you advertise a role which I think looks interesting but you don’t specify the wage I will NEVER repeat NEVER apply! The amount you have to go through these days to apply for roles is ridiculous anyway so to spend all that time to then maybe get to interview to then find the wage is far less than your current role is not worth my time. You are losing a LOT of potentially good candidates by hiding something that doesn’t need to be hidden. If you can’t be transparent in the recruiting process then it’s likely you won’t be about anything else.

When a recruiter starts paying attention to things like: - Employment gaps - Short employment duration etc. This means they are in an industry where labor supply exceeds demand. Or that their company doesn't have a need for the role. Or, simply put, they don't really need you. When you really need someone for the role, you don't care about things like that. You look at their skills and talk to the candidate before your competitors do. What do you think?

Why is it that recruiters / hiring managers will call you (candidate) regarding a job application that you’ve submitted then proceed to go through your CV with them and before ending the call they’ll ask for your desired salary, once you tell them they’ll tell you they’re offering X amount (less than your desired). You respond by saying you are not interested and they tell you “but you are unemployed”. Does it mean just because one is unemployed they cannot know their value and must settle for anything that comes their way?

Transparency in salaries on job posts is crucial. In this day and age, it's surprising that some employers still keep this information a secret. As job seekers, it can be disheartening to go through the interview process only to find out that the salary being offered won't sustain us. Let's respect people enough to offer them their value and be upfront about compensation. It's 2024, and time for change. #salarytransparency #jobsearch #recruiting

Dear recruiters on LinkedIn, Can you normalize revealing company offerings instead of ghosting candidates due to their salary expectations? For example: A screenshot of a professional recruiter who was transparent about their offer instead of ghosting me.

To any and all recruiters and Job seekers out there... For the recruiters- If you cannot fill a role after 90 days what is the issue? For the Jobseekers- If you cannot find a role you are qualified for and the salary meets the needs, what is the issue? #recruiterlife
