🌟 Positive Developments in the Children’s Residential Sector 🌟 Recent reports highlight notable progress in the children’s residential care sector, with the proportion of homes rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted increasing to 83%, up from 80% last year. This growth reflects the dedication of professionals working tirelessly to provide high-quality care and support to vulnerable children. Moreover, there has been a 44% increase in the number of children's homes since 2020, demonstrating a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of children in care. While challenges such as ensuring staff are well-trained and supported still exist, these improvements indicate a strong movement toward enhancing care quality. As we recognize these advancements, let’s continue to advocate for skilled staffing and effective training programs, ensuring every child receives the nurturing environment they deserve. Together, we can build brighter tomorrows for the children in our care! #ChildrensCare #Ofsted #QualityCare #NimaRecruitment #BuildingBrighterTomorrows

Read our latest child care blog @ https://lnkd.in/gikz5uGc. Last election year, research (https://lnkd.in/eJVAUYmS) found that voters, by overwhelming margins, wanted lawmakers to have a plan for addressing #childcare challenges. They expressed strong support for solutions, including increased investments in early care and education (ECE). As the new administration and Congress work on impactful legislation to address these concerns, LIIF is exploring innovate and proven state models that make child care more affordable through effective investments and offers insights for scalable federal solutions. In our three-part series, LIIF highlights the transformative power of investing in child care to meet community needs and the critical roles played by #CDFIs, government and other partners in advancing these efforts. Part 1 focuses on the states of North Carolina, New York and New Mexico, which are driving effective financing solutions through public-private partnerships, well-designed tax incentives and permanent child care funds to increase accessibility and affordability. Stay tuned for Parts 2 and 3, where LIIF will showcase lessons from additional states and outline how these policies can guide federal efforts to address the growing demand and rising costs of quality child care.

Last week, as parents across the country prepared to send their kids back to school, US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued an advisory saying that 4 in 10 parents are so stressed they *can’t function* most days. And wow, did he strike a chord for parents everywhere! According to the report, American parents are so stressed out by the high costs of childcare, education and health care that it has become a public health problem. Investing in child care may not solve the problem entirely, but when financial stress is the top reason why parents are struggling, making child care more affordable is a great place to start. That’s why we are mobilizing moms and parents across the country to #GetChildCareontheRecord up and down the ballot to prioritize bold, transformative solutions to fix our broken child care system. These are excellent recommendations... * Electronic check-ins and check-outs via unique identifiers such as PIN codes or QR codes can accurately track attendance. * Enrollment and attendance data can be electronically linked to authorized hours and reimbursement rates, eliminating manual calculations and reducing errors. * Unique electronic identifiers can prevent payment for duplicative services. I'd recommend also taking a look at what IN has just done, Pay by Enrollment (PBE).
