As a Highway design engineer, I utilize advanced simulation software to design and optimize transportation infrastructure projects. The virtual environment allows me to meticulously craft highway systems, ensuring harmony between form and function. I scrutinize every detail, from geometric alignment to structural integrity, to create efficient and safe transportation corridors. The simulation reveals stress points, drainage requirements, and optimal material usage, enabling me to refine my design.

MSc Eng Candidate (Wits) 📖 MTech: Master of Construction (CPUT) 👩🏽🎓 Candidate Technologist - Structure Design (Roads) Researcher: Artificial Intelligence | Infrastructure Management Systems | Asset Management
After working on HEC-RAS past few weeks on how elevations of the terrains projected by various GIS systems can if not at most not possess right terrain data causing one to rework and reedit these elevation data manually within the created geometry and can be tedious 😩. I have seen this functionality of extracting HEC-RAS data within the OpenBridge Modeller just never had time to play with it and so thankful of this video below 👇🏽 which will make my long weekend fun 🤩. Key data need is survey and terrain model. This is fun! #waterresource #floodplainmodelling #hydraulics

🔊 Let me remind you that on April 25th we will be hosting a live webinar where together with Marta Kaczmarek and Manuel Jurado Alonso, we will be reviewing one of the key aspects when carrying out any civil engineering project: 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 In Bentley Systems we are creating a series of #webinars ( https://t.ly/5UXVe) focused on contextualising the most common issues that occur when performing infrastructure projects under #BIM methodology. In them, we will show optimized and contrasted workflows through real cases, in which, thanks to Bentley's software ecosystem, we will help you to obtain the best possible results. Join this first session for an interesting discussion and learn how to efficiently design in context your projects by integrating reality modelling applications from the beginning of the project’s lifecycle! 🛬 Import drone images ♻ Process aero triangulation ⛰ Create 3D reality meshes 🛣 Create orthophoto 🚗 Deliver reality data in OpenRoads Designer 🗓️ Registration here: https://hubs.la/Q02sSsZB0 See you there! I miss working on projects like this! Here’s a quick demo of a switchyard model I developed and my 2 cents on modelling switchyard after several years working on developing models like this: 1. Switchyard model could help detect all the clearance that is needed to consider in a project such as (working clearance, phase to phase clearance, ground clearance, section clearance, etc.) 2. This could also help visualizing the sequence on things to do as usually it needs outage to do the work with a very limited time. Hence, proper planning is a MUST! 3. The model could also come out with the actual length of the cable needed to lay with consideration of rising and bending of the cable. This reduces the risk of wastage and also risk of shortage. 4. Clamp sizes for all connectors could also be decided and itemize without missing a single one as there's a lot of integration with old equipment and new equipment which makes it vary a lot. It was a rewarding experience pushing the boundaries of my BIM and drafting skills. Let me know what's your opinion about this?⚡ #BIM #PRIMTECH #3DModeling
