Join Cassie on this week's episode of Trenchless Tuesday as she recounts her first pipe inspection experience involving inspection tools. Instead of rehabilitating a lengthy 34-mile pipeline, Cassie emphasizes the significance of utilizing inspection tools. Rehabilitating such an extensive pipeline would be overly burdensome for the city. A recent incident involving an unauthorised strainer post and fence installation too close to a pipeline alignment, with no BYDA enquiry lodged😱. The landowner wasn't aware of the proximity to the pipeline, as a family friend did the installation. 😬 Thanks to the prompt response, the strainer post was removed under supervision. Let's remember that safety comes first! Always get free underground plans from BYDA before digging to prevent incidents like these. www.byda.com.au What are your thoughts on the responsibility of property owners to ensure that structures are not placed too close to pipelines? #DigSafe #SafetyFirst #BeforeYouDig #FencingIndustryAustralia

I often get asked ‘How was I to know?’, biggest issue I face is that people want a 2 minute answer. If excavation is your business you need to know, therefore allow the time to understand and learn. Protect yourself, protect your business, protect your workers. Contact me or your state BYDA office to book your Before You Dig Australia session. These can be tailored to your requirements whether it’s. ‘How to lodge an enquiry’ ’ How to read and interpret plans and information’ #whs#safetyculture
