This ridiculous screenshot nicely captures a principle that I want my digital marketing students to buy into (but really applies to everyone in marketing). Decide early what flavor of marketer you want to be. It is SO healthy and important to have professional values and boundaries and figurative lines you won't cross. It is healthy to actively decide not to work in specific industries or to not consult for specific types of clients. It is healthy to decide which types of marketing tactics you're not going to participate in. From deceptive "means to an end" stuff like John Doherty's example to dark patterns to certain engagement bait tactics to who you connect with. Speaking from experience, there is a LOT of gray area in here. My own professional values have emerged and evolved and I haven't always been consistent with them. But I've occasionally met marketers whose only professional moral compass seems to be "is it legal?" and I'd suggest that hitching your personal value and operating system to the legal system is a bare minimum, but inevitably an insufficient way to go through life.

Hey, can we not do this? It’s gross. At least they were honest. But I’ve removed the connection and won’t forget that they’re doing this.

What more is there to say? If you can find it in your heart and budget, please consider donating to Wisam Abualnaja 🐢 ‘s gofundme. It’s tragic that it has come to evacuation, but millions of people are starving for no reason. I have 3 markets and countless restaurants in walking distance of my home, and on the other side of the world, my country is preventing MILLIONS of people from eating. I’m disgusted by it. And frankly I’m embarrassed. While the United States continually siphons money to Israel, here in the United States: 🔻 653,104 people are unhoused 🔻 35,574 veterans are unhoused 🔻 44.2 million Americans are food insecure 🔻Americans have $220 billion in medical debt 🔻Americans have $1.6 trillion in student debt 🔻 United States discards more food than any other country in the world: nearly 60 million tons — 120 billion pounds — every year, or 40% of the entire US food supply (holy shit didn’t know that stat til now) 🔻the Pentagon has **NEVER** passed an audit If you aren’t infuriated by this, I don’t know how. It doesn’t need to be this way. There are enough things that cause human suffering, and manmade famines should not be one of them.

Still not overreacting...! This is not a murder mystery, it is not fun and games. Everyone knows its Hezbollah we are facing... and those who cannot take a stand against terrorism, and everyone else, too, whether they want to or not, is about to have a very serious shift in their understanding of what happens to a society when it becomes tolerant of corruption and criminality, which we can now clearly see, was merely the preparation for further besieging of our communities... ALL our communities. That means a lot of trouble for all the pretty, young, things, pissing away their lives and the Rule of Law, strapping on a brand new keffiyeh, and protesting about things they neither understand, nor believe in. It isn't good for complacent politicians either, no matter how isolated and secure they like to think they are. Actually, the lawmakers, legislators and law enforcement are primarily to blame for all of the things to come. Let's be honest about it, their lack of substantive efforts to curtail the protests and violence, from 0ct 8, led to the broad permissions and consensus, that have given out steadily, when any act of violence and antisemitic lunacy is tolerated. Because the number of events that have been tolerated, now quite clearly outnumber the instances, where an act of violence was not tolerated, we definitely have a problem with the perception of permissable violence, and for as long as our law enforcement and leaders refuse to take the right stand to end this insanity, nothing will improve. Now? Now we have organizations, run by buffoons, full of misinformed, pompous arrogant and fraudulent journalists, or corrupt police, who refuse to make a clear stand against this insanity and they do it casually, by muddying the waters of truth, with the mere suggestion that we are not besieged by terrorist ideologies, or that our societies are not at enormous risks of collapse. Who did it? Indeed!
So who did it??

🤣 I too get questioned, quite often, about the phones and washers/dryers 😂. Here is a little timeline on business divisions that Siemens no longer is on: - Siemens Mobile (phone division) was sold out to Taiwan-based BenQ in 2005. - Siemens Home appliances division was sold out to Bosch in 2015. ~ Bosch bought the right to use the name Siemens for marketing purposes. - Siemens Hearing Instruments (hearing devices business) was sold out to Sivantos Group in 2015. ~ they too kept the right to use the name Siemens for marketing purposes. - Siemens Energy (former Gas and Power division of Siemens) had a spin-off from Siemens in 2020. ~ though Siemens Energy has the name Siemens, it no longer belongs to Siemens Group. But that is business as usual. Currently Siemens has over 320K direct employees, and is focused on 6 business divisions: Siemens Healthineers Siemens Digital Industries Software Siemens Smart infrastructure Siemens Mobility Siemens Financial Services Siemens Advanta #proudtobesiemens #siemens #digitalization #workhard #siemenshealthineers #siemensmobility #siemensenergy #siemensgamesa #siemensadvanta #siemenssmartinfrastructure #worksmart
Haven't released a phone since '05, but they are still on everyone's mind. #Maythe4thBeWithYou

This looks so similar to Rust's Result<T, E> which has two variants, Ok(T) and Err(E). This would be epic to see implemented in TypeScript.
I wish 'try' worked like this:

Ai is without a doubt one of the hottest topics out there right now. I'm a believer that Ai will enhance and advanced the technologies we use today allowing more productivity, efficiency, and profitability. But not replace the need for jobs and talent skillsets. What do you think the future with Ai will look like?
I’m not too concerned
