Exciting news from the Texas State Capitol this morning! Dr. Deborah Jones, Senior Vice President and Dean at the UTMB School of Nursing, and Dr. Cindy Weston, Founding Dean at UNT Health Science Center College of Nursing and a UTMB SON alum, presented findings as Co-Chairs of the “Modernizing the Production Model” Workgroup, part of the Governor’s Inaugural Healthcare Workforce Task Force. Their insights on leveraging technology and innovation through academic practice partnerships were shared to strengthen the Texas nursing workforce pipeline.
