Hired as Field Operations Managers last year, Will Batson and Jarret Fowlkes of Commercial Maintenance have been promoted to Junior Account Managers. “They are proactive, client-focused, and detail-oriented,” Customer Relation Manager Josh Wilder said. “These promotions are well-deserved, and we are excited to see Jarret and Will continue to thrive in their new capacities.” A graduate of Mississippi State University, Will joined Michael Hatcher & Associates in July 2023. Jarret, who graduated from Christian Brothers University, has been part of our Team for nine months. Both said they love our company’s camaraderie and family-like atmosphere and agreed that their stints as FOMs will be an advantage in their new roles. “Having been a Field Operations Manager, I can communicate issues to other FOMs about properties so they can relay that to the crews,” Jarret said, adding that from mowing and mulching to edging and trimming, “I wouldn’t ask them to do something I wouldn’t or don’t know how to do. That’s why I think communication is so important.” Their experience as FOMs ultimately benefits our Commercial Maintenance customers. “When I’m out on property or talking to a client, I can better explain our process of how we do things and give them a better understanding of what needs to be done and the timeline it will take to get it done,” Will said, noting the importance of building and maintaining positive client interactions. “We want customers to be able to trust us with anything they need or want done on their properties.” Check out the work that Will, Jarret, and our entire account management team can do for your commercial property at www.hatcherlandscape.com. #CommercialLandscape #CommercialMaintenance #Excellence #CareerGrowth #CareerDevelopment #CareerAdvancement

During my nearly year-long tenure at Metro Medical Supplies, I've consistently noticed a significant sign in the back of the shop, a hub for many of our business operations. Despite its prominent position, it's intriguing that I've never heard anyone—managers or drivers—mention or quote it. However, I've observed and understood its significance. The individuals in the picture are our shop managers and the architects of our operations. Their responsibilities span a wide range, from managing stock and order routing for drivers to overseeing driver performance, truck management, cleaning technician oversight, and a baker's dozen other things I am unaware of. While it may appear chaotic due to the daily challenges, this logistical masterpiece is a testament to their leadership and dedication. The following are my observations of "taking care of customers" from our managers: Continued training for employees | Identifying strengths and weaknesses | Delegation | Ensuring drivers and shop workers understand equipment | Majoring in the majors and minoring in the minors | Checking equipment before it goes out | Cleaning equipment for a rush order (or cleaning again in case something wasn't up to expectation) | Giving grace to a worker to help better them | Holding to standards when it would be easier to overlook them | Taking interest in worker's lives | Laughing...a lot of laughing | Holding to who they are Taking care of and investing in employees can lead to better customer care. Years of experience in leadership have taught me that this is a delicate balance of caring for AND leading those who work for and around you. It can't just be loving/caring for others and being a "friend"—And it can't just be driving results. How do you drive mission engagement? #onmission #missionengagement #CustomerCare #EmployeeEngagement #leadership #discipleship

Summit Lawns is hiring for a VP of Operations, and I need YOUR help to find them! At Summit Lawns, we’re on a mission to build a new generation of lawn care. You can have a gorgeous yard that you’re not embarrassed of, with a Chick-Fil-A level customer service. We make lawn care sexy and cool through technology, casual/fun/innovative interactions with our clients, and frankly having some pride in our appearances. We’re the highest rated lawn care company in the history of Lincoln (and soon to be the entire state of Nebraska 😉), and we’re on a journey to build Nebraska’s largest and most impactful residential lawn care company by 2030. Through a few passion projects, we’re significantly impacting our community. Check it out: Random Acts of Clean Up - We revitalize and clean up overgrown homes and landscapes at no cost to the resident. Snow Angels - We provide free snow removal all winter long for neighbors in need. It’s kind of cool to have a job that’s so wildly visual and so intensely appreciated when done well 😎. 10 years ago, we were nobody. We didn’t exist. Since that time, we’ve grown to be the largest lawn care company in Lincoln, and now our sights are set much further. We’re building something big, something that positively impacts every community we enter. Our mission matters now, more than ever. And that’s why we need YOU! A leader who loves accountability, processes, and coaching up team members. A leader who can organize an operation towards a big goal. What YOU do matters! So, you tell us. Do you want to: - Be part of an exciting, fast paced growth story and build something big? - Work for a company that provides real, tangible impact to its community? - Disrupt an entire industry that’s operating primitively and asleep at the wheel? - Change the lives of employees in an industry that’s sadly considered to be a dead end? If this sounds like you (or the perfect someone you know), check it out here: https://lnkd.in/g9N9ttYW

Meet Kelly Arnsdorf, our May #EmployeeSpotlight, who has been with the company for 1 year! Kelly is our Vancouver Receiving Supervisor and we have asked him to answer some questions so you can get to know him better! As a Receiving Supervisor, I am keenly aware that each day, my team and I have a positive impact on the company's success, our colleagues' endeavors, and, most importantly, the creations, designs, and dreams of our customers. Through dedication, attention to detail, accuracy, and hard work, my team and I leave a lasting impression. I often reflect on the intricate journey a fabric roll undergoes from its inception to its fulfillment. From designers, weavers, and planners to our logistics partners, warehouses, and ultimately into the waiting hands of the customer, every step is crucial. As a Receiving Supervisor, I don't simply handle and transport products; I handle a customer's vision. While I am not alone in this process, as there are many helping hands along the way, I play a critical role in ensuring that the fabric reaches its final destination—the customer. What is the most exciting part about your position? The most exciting aspect of my position lies in several areas. Firstly, witnessing the return of satisfied customers, knowing they trust our services, brings immense satisfaction. Secondly, ensuring 100% accuracy instills confidence in our customers, demonstrating our expertise and reliability. Additionally, at Ennis Fabrics, I have the opportunity to engage in forward-thinking endeavors, exploring innovations in warehousing, technology, and automation. This allows me to integrate my logistics expertise with my background in information technology, envisioning and implementing strategies for enhanced operational efficiency. Lastly, the joy of contributing to beautifying the world through vibrant colors, one roll at a time, adds a creative and fulfilling dimension to my role. What do you do the ensure a healthy work-life balance? Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial to me, especially given the demands of working in a warehouse environment. To counteract the indoor work atmosphere, I prioritize spending time outdoors, embarking on adventures with my wife to explore new and captivating places. As a computer enthusiast, I immerse myself in the world of gaming, where I've developed a complex scenario for an MMO game incorporating elements from popular Sci-Fi franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune, Stargate, and BSG. Witnessing my creative vision come to life on screen is immensely fulfilling. Additionally, I indulge my passion for art, particularly in crafting Sci-Fi creations inspired by current events. Lastly, I cherish quality time with great friends, engaging in meaningful conversations over good beer, which adds a social and relaxing dimension to my life outside of work.
