Here is Sir Lee Pearson CBE, the world’s most successful Para-Dressage rider with his triple gold medal winning horse Breezer. Using his pioneering mobility vehicle, known as a TGA Scoozy, Sir Lee has achieved more freedom than ever before. With 37 golds to his name, 14 of those across six Paralympics Games, add an MBE, OBE, CBE and a knighthood to that too, which shows what an extraordinary ambassador for inclusive equestrianism he is. Talking to Sir Lee you get an idea of what the TGA Scoozy means to him: “I adore living here but with a severe disability it can be tricky. And I love the countryside so to be able to get out with the dogs as well as the horses is amazing. Often, we are hacking on the roads, so I just jump on my TGA Scoozy and carry on enjoying the scenery when I’m not on horseback. It's given me confidence to use a mobility product.” We're proud to see Lee thriving with confidence and stability whilst using his TGA Scoozy. #customerstories #paradressage #equestrian #paralympicequestrian #paralympian #TGAMobility #TGAscoozy #makingadifference #mobilityawareness #sirleepearson

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, back in the saddle Like all team sports, equestrian sports requires infinite selflessness, patience, hard work and having to rely on the same commitment from the other members of your team - the horse included. You get up every single morning, clean out the box, jump in the saddle, assess how your horse feels, train to gradually build his stamina, listen to his response, measure his evolution, tweak his tack, change his shoes, diet, management, whatever it takes to improve his comfort and support his progress. We have been deeply moved and humbled by some of the stories that have unfolded in Paris these past weeks, examples that some of the best athletes have set. You can prepare for months in the hope to be selected to represent your country at one of the most historical venue - and yet, despite the perceived lustre of privilege, nothing is certain. Some riders had to forfeit at the last minute, prioritising their horse’s health over their ambitions. Several reserve riders who were not initially meant to compete, such as Olivier Perreau for France and Karl Cook for the USA, rose to the challenge, rode impeccably and contributed to their teams’ victory. The world N*1 Henrik Von Eckermann, probably one of the favourite contenders, made a riding mistake which, he admitted, stole the ultimate chance for his fab horse King Edward to win a deserved Olympic title. After committing 8 unfortunate faults in the team run, Steve Guerdat did not loose his focus and gave a lesson in horsemanship, riding to win silver in the individual class. All will rise early tomorrow morning, revise what needs to be done and get back in the saddle. A tribute to the beauty of our sport and its admirable human and equine athletes! 🇫🇷🥇 #Paris2024 #EquestrianSports #Olympics #SportsExcellence #sport #equestriansport #welfare #EquineCare #ilovehorses #equineperformance #horseracing #jumping #veterinarymedicine #equinevet #equineinternalmedicine #equinesportsmedicine #equestrian #equine #showjumping #eventing #dressage #endurance #racehorse

The third and final Olympic equestrian event is Jumping. As with Dressage, Jumping, as a stand-alone competition is much more difficult than the jumping portion of the Eventing competition. These horses are highly trained to jump ever-increasing heights without touching or “dropping” a rail. In some competitions, the jumps can go as high as 6 feet or more. #Jumping #Equestrian #ParisOlympics #CircleBBarn https://lnkd.in/g-gM-utA

A 3000-year-old Greek Olympics is more than just sports and competition. Revived in 1896 by Pierre de Coubertin, the Olympiad was once used as a time count rather than years. The five interconnected circles of the Olympics symbolize the unity and solidarity of athletes from of the world. Equestrian activities, colloquially referred to as horse riding, have traditionally been a popular competitive pursuit. The rise of pari-mutuel wagering, a system of betting on horse racing outcomes, necessitated the development of mechanical record-keeping methods to efficiently process and update wagering pools in real time. This year, the Paris Olympics features 32 sports, with Breakdancing making its debut. While the U.S. and China lead the way, the Olympic spirit thrives in every nation. #olympics #paris #india #sports #facts #insights #trending #fenty #brand #sponsership #ekvity

Last year I featured Malachi on my feed because she was so passionate about her sport! She is one of the few minorities that participate in equestrian show jumping Black equestrians have been involved in show jumping and various equestrian disciplines for many years, but their representation and recognition in the sport have often been limited due to historical racial barriers and inequalities. In the United States, for example, Black riders have been participating in equestrian sports for decades, with notable individuals making significant contributions to the sport. However, systemic racism and lack of access to resources and opportunities have sometimes hindered their visibility and success in the show jumping world. In recent years, there has been a growing awareness and advocacy for diversity and inclusion in equestrian sports, including show jumping. Efforts are being made to provide more support, access, and representation for Black equestrians and riders of color in the sport. While the history of Black show jumpers may not be as well-documented or widely recognized as that of their white counterparts, there are certainly talented and dedicated Black riders who have made their mark in the world of show jumping and continue to excel in the sport today. Efforts to promote inclusion in equestrian sports are helping to create more opportunities for riders of all backgrounds to participate and succeed in show jumping and other disciplines. #equinelife #Inclusion #Invest #paris2024 #olympics ---

Did you catch this detail during the Paris 2024 Olympics? 👉 Some swimmers are slicing through the water with their fingers slightly spread apart. This isn't an accident – it's ‘grounded’ in hydrodynamics, the science of fluid motion. When swimmers spread their fingers, they increase the surface area of their hands, creating a larger paddle to push against the water, supercharging their strokes. This technique generates powerful thrust and propels swimmers forward faster. And it’s actually the same principle behind our cut blades. The small gaps reduce drag and improve propulsion. It's a great reminder of how small tweaks can lead to huge gains, whether it's racing for gold or revolutionising paddle sports! #oscarpropulsionsport #OPSport #cutbladepaddle #cutbladetechnology #cutpaddle #OPPaddle #ParisOlympics #Olypics #Swimming
