3moI took a short course from Clayton more than 20 years ago, when I was working at the AGS in Edmonton. He was a fantastic instructor, and opened my eyes to spatial statistics so much, that I acknowledged him in a subsequent GIS paper I wrote - driven by inspiration from a short course!
