🏃♂️ Proposal writing is a marathon, not a sprint! Ensure your efforts don't leave you broken or depleted of precious resources. Here's how: 👉 Leverage Previous Proposals: No need to start from scratch every time. 👉 Write a Realistic and Sustainable Budget: Avoid over-promising and don't undercut market prices. 👉 Have a Clear VfM Rationale: Clearly explain your unit costs and highlight cost savings to showcase value for money. 👉 Be Ready to Negotiate: Know what NOT to agree on, like unrealistic donor expectations and stringent overhead conditions. Stay strong and strategic! 💪✨ #ProposalWriting #SustainableBudgeting #NGO #GrantWriting #ValueForMoney #Negotiation 👉

Get Started Programme - Greater London The Prince's Trust Get Started is a personal and social development programme which uses inspiring themes focusing on specific sectors or areas of employment to engage young people who face multiple barriers (such as educational under achievement, housing, and financial difficulties). Young people who take part may also face personal and social behaviour barriers to employment and are often lacking in the motivation and confidence needed to take their first step. The aim of this tender process is to establish a multi-supplier framework (7 suppliers maximum) to deliver our Get Started programmes, in partnership, across the identified boroughs of Greater London, during the period September 2024 – 31st August 2025. The framework will be considered for 3 x 1 year extensions dependent on funding. We are seeking proposals that set out how they would specifically support Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Newham or Tower Hamlets residents. All Get Started courses will need to support The Prince’s Trust’s target group of young people: · 16 - 25 at the beginning of the course, with a Greater London postcode and Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or Economically Inactive. Further to this, young people are also classified as NEET and are eligible if they are: · On a zero-hours contract · Working for less than 16 hours per week (including self-employment) · In education for less than 14 hours per week · Doing only voluntary work · In custody We know there is a need to support young people facing specific barriers, who may be most at risk of being NEET for a sustained period and of experiencing poorer outcomes in adult life. Therefore, we would be interested in how organisations could engage and support young people with the following experience: · In Care/Leaving Care · Offenders/Ex-Offenders · Refugee/Asylum Seekers · Those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities · Single Parents Bidders will need to propose and deliver an engaging theme for the week, one that acts as a ‘hook’ to get young people involved and can support them in building their confidence and progressing them on their journey to employment. Value: to £50K Deadline: 16 September 2024 If you intend to bid and require any support with making applications, please contact lisa@bidrightuk.co.uk Sign up for Live Tender Alerts at: https://lnkd.in/dReZwFQb

Director of Sonder Training Group ✦ international educator of career professionals ✦ creative career coach ✦ author
Am very excited that this book arrived today. Contracting with clients is usually a process of listening, understanding, learning, tailoring, offering, agreeing. Not having read the book yet, I may not have fully understood, but Rie Thomsen is looking at how we work IN communities, entering their space, understanding what they see as meaningful. Offering professional insights as to what we can offer comes further down the line and is based on what we have learned. As such career guidance in communities is a collective phenomenon. There are moves to deliver group guidance in schools but this should be seen as very different from groupwork which has predetermined objectives. It’s also not completely client led but co-designed. Susan Meldrum is doing some valuable work in this area. With reviews from Jenny Bimrose and the late Ronald Sultana, praising the importance of Rie’s fresh, creative and challenging perspective, I want to understand more about Rie’s work.
