Between 2019 and 2023, 50% of high impact #exploration wells were drilled within 3 years of a seismic survey being acquired over the prospect and prospects drilled between 1 and 2 years after the last seismic shot are the most successful, with a commercial success rate more than double that of prospects drilled on seismic that is 5 years older or more. This suggests that prospects identified and matured soon after #seismic acquisition is completed are more likely to be successful. New seismic data often allows new prospects to be identified and a prospect inventory can be refreshed. The best prospects are easily highgraded and drilled sooner. Conversely those prospects that are drilled later may be those that were not high graded immediately. Westwood Global Energy Group, in association with Seisintel, recently published a research note “What Seismic is Derisking High Impact Exploration?” Get in touch with our team directly for more information or to purchase the report: wildcat@westwoodenergy.com. Copper Lake Resources is gearing up for an extensive summer exploration program at their Marshall Lake copper-zinc-silver property in Northwestern Ontario. The company aims to leverage the latest geophysical techniques to investigate several zones with significant historical copper-zinc-silver intercepts identified through diamond drilling. CEO Terry MacDonald highlighted key areas of interest, including the Teck Hill-Gazooma and Gazooma North-RM-Lease target areas. The year-round accessibility of these zones presents an opportunity for continuous exploration activities, enhancing the potential for significant discoveries. 'The company's exploration strategy is built on the premise that Marshall Lake could evolve into a Noranda-style Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) camp with multiple deposits,' MacDonald stated. Large-Loop Electromagnetic geophysical surveys will be employed to explore deeper geological formations and identify deep-seated conductors, which could reveal extensions of high-grade historical drilling intercepts. Copper Lake Resources also announced plans for a non-brokered private placement financing, aiming to raise up to $2.5 million in gross proceeds to support exploration activities and development goals. #CopperLakeResources #MiningExploration #MarshallLakeProperty #VMS @copperlakeresources

Pantheon Resources preps for next Alaska well @PantheonResour1 #AIM #OTCQX #PANR #PTHRF. Pantheon Resources PLC (AIM:PANR, OTCQX:PTHRF) told investors it is advancing preparations for the Megrez-1 exploration well, expected to spud next quarter. The well will be drilled from a gravel pad adjacent to the Dalton Highway on Alaska's North Slope, offering year-round operational capabilities, unlike traditional ice pads, which are constrained by the winter season. The company’s management has estimated a 69% geological chance of success for Megrez-1, targeting 609 million barrels of recoverable liquids and 3.3 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of natural gas.
