I am enthusiastically observing the development of the EETS service in Europe. With optimism, I recognize the benefits of EETS (European Electronic Toll Service), which is revolutionizing the way we manage toll payments in Europe. How can the digitalisation of transport sustainably enhance user journeys? We are working with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) to implement a countrywide Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) strategy. It explores the interactions between transport, people, the environment and technology to ensure the sustainable management of Ireland’s 100,000 km road network.  From highway signage to in-vehicle communications, ITS deliver real-time information about conditions that may impact traffic flows, creating more seamless journeys in a safer travel environment.
