Let's talk about money...! When people ask me about trends that i think are exciting in health-tech, I often will say it's all these fin-tech folks moving into our space. So I teamed up with Chris Ellis on a piece about the intersection of the two industries. Historically, health care has been "icked out" by the flow of money, but now we're being forced to take a closer look as inflation continues to be a problem. For Second Opinion, Chris and I shared some examples of where we think companies will sprout up, and where we see pitfalls along the way. I have yet to meet anyone from the FinTech world who has even a remotely adequate understanding of the complexities and nuances of playing in the healthcare space. I strongly suspect that most all of the FinTech leaders navigating over to healthcare will find that they're way out of their depth pretty quickly

Our team at Anomaly is deploying new tools at the intersection of where providers bill and payers adjudicate and are finding some wild behaviors to light up. Sometimes feels like an HGTV crew walking in to cleanup a house that’s gone unrenovated for decades. It’s a ripe area for innovation for sure and certainly hope we look back after a decade of work and laugh (while crying) about how we used to do it.
