Changes are coming - and they're here... People go through many transitions in their lives. From moving to becoming a parent, to becoming an empty-nester. There is almost no point in life when some sort of semi-major change is not afoot.* And that’s just in our personal lives. When it comes to our work lives and our career, it’s no wonder we struggle with change. Sometimes we feel that… We don’t have time to change. We like the way things are going. If it ain’t broke, and all that. Even if it is “broke,” we know and understand the “brokeness” and we can still do our jobs. It’s important for leaders to see things from many perspectives when it comes to changing things up in their organizations. Each person in the organization, each stakeholder, each family member, has an interest in the change and how it is implemented - and its level of effectiveness. Change leaders specialize in assessing large and seemingly insignificant changes to ensure their implementation results in a net (and undeniable) positive. Whether you realize it or not, your organization is going through change. It is constantly evolving. Your awareness of that change is extremely important. So be on the lookout… (That last sentence was a mouthful. I could change it to be positive rather than a double-negative, but the double-negative works, don’t you think?
