How many of your leisure members are sleeping? 😴 Our attrition research found that 31% of current members hadn’t visited for more than 30 days. Most of these sleepers hadn’t visited in 90+ days. And 15% of current members had no last visit date. All of these members are an attrition risk. Partnering with industry experts, Julie Allen and Guy Griffiths, we’ve created a comprehensive report with attrition insights and tactical strategies that will help you engage and motivate members to keep them visiting for longer. Why are you out here using your precious vacation days for things like, I don't know, STAYING ALIVE? Meanwhile, our European cousins are living their best lives, getting that summer glow. 🌞 And you know what's worse? Coming back from that "vacation" (aka major surgery) to a manager who's like, "So, how was your time off? Feel refreshed?" 🙄 If you've ever had to explain why your "vacation" didn't involve a beach and a Mai Tai, I feel you. This hustle culture has us stressed, stretched, and straight-up exhausted. But here's the thing - it doesn't have to be this way. You deserve better than using your hard-earned PTO for basic human needs. You deserve actual rest, actual vacations, and a work environment that doesn't make you choose between your health and your job. Ready to learn how to navigate this mess without losing your cool (or your mind)? I've got you. Visit https://lnkd.in/eN5kGax7 to register for the "Calm in the Chaos" masterclass on July 19th. We're talking crucial stress management techniques that will keep you cool, calm, and collected in your leadership role—even when your workplace is wild. It's time that you take back your peace, your vacations, and your sanity. #worklifebalance #stressmanagement #corporatelife #corporatewellness #keepcalm #stressrelief #professionaldevelopment #burnout #corporateamerica

Unpopular opinion: Workations suck! When we are constantly working, our brains develop cognitive overload. This requires periodic flushing; otherwise, our decision-making and problem-solving abilities get affected. The primary reason most of us go on vacation is to allow this to happen. But if we keep that loop open even during vacations, the change of environment hardly affects our brain. That open loop will not let you relax, even when you feel like you’re relaxing after booking such an expensive vacation. Now, that was about disengagement, more like escaping. But vacations can also help build your mind. The experiences you have during vacations can help your brain build new neural networks, basically increasing your neuroplasticity. You must have felt a magical sense of automatic realignment when you come back to work from vacation. That’s the increased neuroplasticity helping reorganize your brain. So, instead of blurring the boundaries between work and vacation, I feel it is better to do one thing at a time. The best form of human experience will never be at the intersection of these two worlds. You have to make a choice; otherwise, you’ll be stuck. If you give work its space, it will expand to fill the space it has been given. If you let your work overflow into your vacation, it will make you feel guilty for not enjoying and not being able to do enough, both at the same time.

Take that annual leave! 😎 I recently returned from a full two weeks off work, exploring the USA. No emails, no Teams chats, and no social media. It was bliss - I lived in the moment, free from strategy writing and conflicting deadlines. While I do my best to take shorter breaks, I always find myself checking emails or stressing about looming deadlines. This time was different. Since returning to work, I’ve felt all the benefits of true rest. Rejuvenation: My brain had a chance to rest, reset, and recharge. The mental clarity is priceless. Breaking Patterns: Time off allowed me to rethink my day-to-day work tasks and priorities. I kicked bad habits and embraced fresh approaches. Inspiration: From savouring amazing food to engaging in incredible conversations with strangers across the pond, my experiences fuelled inspiration. Avoiding Burnout: Most importantly, this leave helped me avoid burnout. It’s an investment in my well-being and creativity. Remember, taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential for sustained productivity and innovation. #TakeTimeOff #CreativityMatters #WorkLifeBalance

Live life fully! No more settling or waiting. Learn how to consciously and confidently create your life. | Life coach
Today’s haircut, along with every other one I’ve had this year, was booked in January. Why? Because then they’re in my calendar, and they’re on the day that works best for me. Scheduling regular appointments, holidays, and self-retreats for the whole years means they happen. And they’re when it works best for me. It’s a great strategy for reducing chaos and stress, and amplifying the quality of your life. If you’re a fan of doing this too, what do you schedule? And if this is new to you, what will you start with? #ConsciousLiving #LifePlanning #LiveWellNow

Empowering Mums in Construction through Leadership Development | 1:1 coaching | EMCC accredited | CITB Assured | Working mum | AMWES Member
There are so many times after returning to work when you suddenly notice that you are different. It might be in meetings - when colleagues are chatting about a change initiative that you weren’t part of and you sit in silence hoping no one asks you a question. It could be when you forget the name of your new Director (again) but you can remember every single word to the Go Jetters Theme tune. It might be the day of your first work function when you feel anxious instead of excited. Worrying a little bit about how everyone will cope at bedtime but also about whether your mum brain will be on form enough to manage intelligent conversation. You aren’t who you used to be, but you’re not really sure who you are right now either. Weeks flash by in a blur but some of the days seem like an endless limp to bedtime! You’re different now. And that’s OK. You just need to get to know the new you - and figure out how to feel at your best and bravest. Trust me when I say you’ve learnt some amazing new skills and a brand new perspective which is massively valuable. You might need to rebuild your confidence and get some new strategies and techniques for handling everything life has to throw at you right now. That’s why I’m here. I specialise in helping mums just like you to thrive on their return to work. #MumsInConstruction #WorkingMums #WomenInConstruction

The Boiling Frog Syndrome As an employee sometimes you are forced to accept bad work conditions such as lack of work - life balance ,toxic environment, lack of work ethics and being underpaid and exploited by the employers. You try to adapt because you have financial obligations and a family to support who rely on you to feed them and care for. while you are in this situation try to adapt and do your best but remember not to follow the steps of the boiling frog who adapt his body temperature to the rising heat of the pot and not to escape the boiling pot as soon as possible. As an employee you deserve a better job and life to feel yourself fulfilled and consider this period as a temporary station not not a permanent destination. Work hard towards achieving your goals and remember that No pain No gain as the saying goes. #The Boiling Frog Syndrome. #Not to surrender. #No pain No gain.
