We're delighted to be opening registration for the Scholarship Awards Reception to Scholars, Sponsors, Training Partners and Corporate Partners from Tuesday 27th August. All eligible attendees will receive an email with details for the event registration. Tickets to the event are free for all eligible attendees. Scholars may each bring one additional guest. The Reception, taking place on Wednesday 30th October at the Royal Aeronautical Society, will see the Air League's 2024 cohort of over 100 Scholars and Bursars receive their awards, alongside the presentation of a range of specialist certificates and trophies. The axes of rotation in an aircraft are critical for understanding its movements in three-dimensional space. The three primary axes are the longitudinal axis, lateral axis, and vertical axis. The longitudinal axis runs from the nose to the tail, allowing for roll, which tilts the aircraft side to side. The lateral axis extends from wingtip to wingtip, enabling pitch, which raises or lowers the aircraft's nose. Lastly, the vertical axis runs vertically through the center of the aircraft, facilitating yaw, which turns the nose left or right. Mastery of these axes is essential for pilots to control and maneuver the aircraft effectively.
