Here’s Jay Anderson, Senior Manager, Emerging Technology, on how artificial intelligence is already changing the healthcare industry. "The Emerging Tech team was all over AI and its impact on healthcare and eyecare in 2023. One area that jumped out for me was the ability to use AI to augment a doctor’s ability to detect disease states from medical images.   Toku Eyes, a company who uses retinal images to determine cardiovascular risk, is a perfect example of how doctors could be empowered by technology to improve healthcare outcomes, detect diseases earlier, and avoid costs associated with late-stage diagnosis.” #GenerativeAI #VSP
