Interested in relocating to Manchester? 🐝 Last Friday, I ventured over to 20 stories after work for a few drinks. As most of you know, the view from the bathroom is insane... It really made me feel super lucky to be here. (Note to self: must improve my photography skills!) If you're contemplating a relocation or simply curious about life in this vibrant city, here are a few reasons why I love Manchester... 🍽️ Food and nightlife (obviously): In summer, my personal favourite thing to do is go to Dukes 92 on a Friday or venture around Deansgate for a night out. 💁🏻♀️The People: Northerners are just nicer (Fact) 🏠 Rental market: Manchester is significantly cheaper than London! Although it has gone up in recent years, it still beats everywhere else and if your lucky you get a pool and gym in your building. 🚇Transport: You can literally get anywhere in about 30 minutes without having a car. 💼 Job opportunities: I know this might seem bias coming from a recruiter but it is a key location within the UK with many international and highly successful companies having chosen Manchester as their headquarters and the number of businesses here having rapidly expanded over recent years. As a Manchester-based company, If you are interested in a role, but aren't based in Manchester, id be happy to provide more insights support you with the process. 📩📩📩Drop me a message #manchester #manchesterrelocation #manchesterjobopportunities

When we met, my (now) wife and I were both working at a behavioral health center that provides recovery programs for youth & young adults. While very fulfilling work, it could also be mentally taxing and we decided that only one of us should work in that industry. It was kind of like two cops being married, overtime it kept us & our relationship in a negative mindset. One day during my job search, I came across an ad for New Home Star. Selling new construction homes paid more than my previous position, and honestly it sounded too good to be true. I guess not, because they ended up hiring me and I got my real estate license. While working there I learned a lot and discovered an inclination for real estate I didn't know existed before. I sold almost 100 homes in my first three years. I wanted to sell more than just new construction, so I left NHS and started working at another brokerage. While at that brokerage, I grew into a leadership role within a team developing and implementing systems and processes. All that led me to creating Amplify, the brokerage we all know and love. I realized that so many agents craved a brokerage where they were supported but not controlled. Where they felt mentored but also had autonomy to run their own business. We've scaled from 0-130+ agents in the last year and a half, and I am so excited for what Amplify has in store in the future. If you have been looking for a brokerage with equal support but more freedom, you may be a great fit at Amplify. #employeeappreciationday is today! At the same time, Welsh and people of Wales celebrate St. David's Day. St. David's mantra was always 'do the little things' [that make people happy]. Reflecting on that I realised that I see more and more businesses openly saying 'thank you' to leaving employees. There are tons of posts on LinkedIn like: 'Thank you for your hard work over the last X years, wishing you all the best in your new career'. Statements like that, coming from official business accounts, to me, shout #APPRECIATION. Yes, someone is leaving and yes, we will have to replace them, and yes this will inevitably create some disruption but at the same time we appreciate their input during the time they were with us and are happy for their success in securing a new role. This is just #beautiful and what I call #greatplacetowork. More of that, please :)
