Our aim is to empower entrepreneurship support organizations (ESOs) to develop supplementary programs and interventions within this space. The specific target is ESOs working with small and growing businesses (SGBs) that offer innovative solutions to address waste challenges and promote resource efficiency. UK-based Stewart Investors has launched a new Asia Pacific and Japan Sustainability VCC fund. The new fund is available as an EU-domiciled VCC in Europe and carries a remit to invest in sustainability-focused companies. “Asia is home to a number of pioneering entrepreneurs and business leaders who are advancing the continent’s sustainability push,” said Doug Ledingham, Portfolio Manager at Stewart Investors. “Leveraging over three decades of expertise investing in the region, this latest fund reinforces our commitment to backing high-quality, competent stewards with resilient financials that can leverage global tailwinds to deliver sound returns. As always, our focus is on quality, and we invest in companies that are aligned with sustainable development.” The fund aims to invest in a portfolio of 30-60 companies in Asia Pacific, including Japan, with diversified cash flows that can grow in value over the long term. #cleanenergy

Boloka Waste Management, a social enterprise established to tackle amongst others, health issues linked to environmental pollution such as respiratory problems, mental health and skin rashes, is proud to announce its selection for the African Impact Initiative's Health Entrepreneurship (HENT) Challenge pre-incubation phase. The goal of the HENT Challenge is to enable the creation of ventures with positive health outcomes in Africa. "Every eligible team that applies will be onboarded to our virtual platform to complete the pre-incubation starting in April. This phase provides capacity building to validate your idea/solution and guide how you build it in a scalable way. The top-performing teams from pre-incubation will be interviewed and selected to proceed into incubation. Incubation begins in July, and the selected teams will receive funding and resources up to $25,000 CAD each to build their ventures. This is intended to cover pre-seed funding and technology resources.
