This handbook provides a six step guide that assists coalitions, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to undertake evidence-based gender transformative advocacy that improves accountability and is responsive to the political economy context. The insights from this handbook are based on our 12-year advocacy programme Evidence for Action (E4A) - MamaYe, which worked towards improving maternal, neonatal and child health outcomes through a gender transformative advocacy approach in Africa.

🌟 Workshop Highlight: Program-Based Advocacy Training by NRC 🌟 I am excited to share insights from the impactful workshop organized and facilitated by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) on Program-Based Advocacy Training. This comprehensive training was divided into two crucial modules: 📚 Module 1: Understanding Advocacy and How It Works. We delved into the fundamentals of advocacy, exploring its significance and the mechanisms that drive effective advocacy efforts. This module equipped us with the knowledge to initiate and sustain meaningful change within our communities. 🗣️ Module 2: The Importance of Communications in Project Implementation Effective communication is the backbone of successful project implementation. This module highlighted how clear, strategic communication enhances project outcomes and ensures the advocacy message reaches and resonates with the right audience.The synergy between advocacy and communication cannot be overstated. Together, they form a powerful duo that amplifies our efforts, driving impactful change.Kudos to NRC for organizing such an enlightening workshop. Today, in collaboration with GIZ North Macedonia we're hosting an online workshop aimed at crafting impactful communication and advocacy messages. LGA Coordinators members of the NALAS: Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe working group on #socialinclusion and #migration and local experts on social inclusion will be sharing their key advocacy objectives while also gaining insights into the process of preparing advocacy takeaway messages and defining communication tools and approaches towards decision-makers. #advocacy #communicationstrategy
