I attended and presented at the @Evidence Synthesis Institute Conference at the University of Minnesota. It was very well-organized and supported networking and lovely discussions. I have transformed the guide I was working on for this conference into the presentation. You are welcome to check my comparisons of various AI-driven applications and tools that enable new ways of evidence retrieval, literature mapping, and summarization. Since the evidence synthesis or any systematic review is a research study, experts are concerned about the credibility of findings and sources of evidence. I am still trying to untangle the myths and misinformation about LLMs, GPTs, fine-turning, prompting, and retrieval augmentations and help my fellow librarians deal with new ways of evidence retrieval.

The Connecticut State Library in partnership with TFSX was awarded an Institute of Museum and Library Services 2-year $285,000 extension of our nationally recognized Transformation for Libraries: The Futures School project. During the original grant period, the Transformation for Libraries project has focused on individuals and will ultimately result in the successful training of over 400 members of the library workforce; however, there continues to be a large demand from the field for additional training opportunities and to contextualize Strategic Foresight inside a more organizational perspective.  All Cohorts have been claimed but you can still learn about Natural Foresight from our network, our partners and your friends at the CT State Library Division of Library Development. Just like most things in life, it can be used for good or bad. Great article in being "proactive in guiding the influence of AI". Used correctly, AI will walk beside educators to help the reach their goals with their students! Funny note, when I was in college getting my Computer Science degree, I had a professor that was so excited about AI and what it will bring.
