I want to give a tremendous congratulations to Dr. Rachel Dorin for being awarded the The Bayh-Dole Coalition's 2024 American Innovator Award. It is a prestigious group she joins, as past recipients have included pioneers from nearly every industry and Nobel Prize recipients. Rachel is the CEO and Founder of TeraPore Technologies, Inc., a client of mine at Johnson, Marcou, Isaacs & Nix, LLC and an Anzu Partners portfolio company. TeraPore is revolutionizing the science behind polymer membranes with their Intelligent Membrane® self-assembled polymer membrane technology. The technology came out of Rachel's PhD program at Cornell University and was licensed through the Center for Technology Licensing at Cornell University (CTL) I've had the privilege of getting to know Rachel and to work with the company for several years now and consider her a tremendous entrepreneur, effective company executive, and a good friend. I cannot think of a more fitting recipient, so please join me in congratulating her. Rachel and I, along with many others, will be in Washington D.C. next week, where Rachel will be presented with the award and we will have an opportunity to meet with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to talk about the state of the United States innovation laws and policies.
